A new SG-1 team has been formed by General Samantha Carter, who now leads Stargate Command. Join Colonel Malachy Hughes as he and his team step through the Gate to explore the galaxy. They'll meet new friends, old enemies and discover what it truly...
Cal took a seat. "All right, gentlemen, what have you found out?"
"I'd like to know that too," Mal added as he sat down beside Cal.
"Well, sirs, we watched all the videotape and they vanished."
"That's not an answer." Cal frowned.
The man stood and went to a screen, hit a button and an image appeared. "As you can see, Dr. Kain was attempting to move a wire and ... well watch."
They watched as Oliver grasped the wire and attempted to move it. There was a bright flash and when it cleared, all three occupants of the room were gone.
Cal shook his head. "And, what's your explanation?"
"We don't have one. We don't think they're out of phase, all attempts to contact them have failed. And, well, they can't be dead or there would be some evidence left behind."
Mal sat forward and pointed a finger at the man. "What about another reality? Could they have shifted to another reality?"
"I suppose that's possible. The ZPMs do use a singularity for power, if there was some sort of overload ..." He trailed off as if he were considering things. "Yes, I think it's possible."
Mal looked at Cal. "That has to be it. There's nowhere else they could have gone. The same thing happened to me when I did a test flight of the new 306."
"How do we get them back?" Cal asked.
The scientists spluttered and looked at one another.
"We don't, they have to figure that out," Mal told him. "That's how I got home."
"So we sit here and wait? There's nothing we can do?" Cal asked.
"Yes, we just have to wait." Mal shrugged.
Cal nodded but he wasn't happy about it. He looked at the other men around the table. "No one is allowed in Dr. Fritz's lab until further notice. Secure the lab, do not move anything. Understood?"
"Yes, sir."
Cal sat back in his seat. "I'm not good at sitting and waiting."
"Neither am I." Mal sighed. "If I know anything about Captain Kain it's that she's stubborn as hell. She won't give up until they get home."
Cal grinned. "Between Captain Kain, Dr. Kain, and Dr. Fritz I'm surprised they aren't back already."
They both laughed.
"You have a point. What do you want to do now?"
"I'll post guards on the lab. The moment they get back we'll know."
"Let's hope they find a way home," Mal said quietly.
"They will."

Oliver hurried after Peterna. "Okay, but how are you going to get us home?"
