Lorcan stepped into the side corridor where Amais waited. "We need to do something, she's lost her mind!" he told her.

"She is the leader of the Alliance!" she hissed back.

"And your point is what exactly? Let me tell you what mine is, she has lost her mind! She killed my brother for no reason! Not only did she murder him, she killed his entire crew. Nesrin is obsessed with taking down SG-1 and finding some way to get to Atlantis in the Pegasus galaxy! We are losing people at every turn. We can't continue to follow her lead, we'll all be dead if we do," he hissed.

"You are talking about turning against the best leader the Alliance has ever had! You are talking about rising up against her and we can't do that! Do you want to end up as dead as Xanth, your brother wouldn't want that."

"No, I want to live, which is why we need to eliminate her! If all of us work together we can do it."

"And what then? You'll take over as leader?"

"I couldn't give a shit who takes over as long as it isn't that insane bitch that killed my brother."

"I suggest you take a day, and mourn your brother and you'll see that Nesrin is the best option we have. I'm sure Xanth wouldn't want you to get yourself killed in some foolish attempt to take down Nesrin." She spun around and left him standing there.

He knew he was right about this. Nesrin was dangerous and if they didn't stop her they were all going to end up dead. SG-1 would see to that if Nesrin didn't.

"We have a problem," Sam announced without preamble as soon as they were seated around the table in the briefing room

"We have a problem," Sam announced without preamble as soon as they were seated around the table in the briefing room.

"I'm fairly certain we usually have a host of problems at any given time," Lee replied.

"Be that as it may, what we have right now is several reports of attacks on a couple of the planets you have visited as well as an attack on the listening station that SG-19 is still manning."

"Is SG-19 all right?" Van asked.

"Some minor injuries and one death." She sighed. "We think the Alliance is behind the attacks but we don't have any confirmation, they didn't exactly announce themselves."

"Did any of SG-19 get a look at the attackers?"

"They did but since they have never had contact with anyone from the Alliance they can't say for certain who the attackers were. Whoever is behind this isn't wearing Alliance uniforms when they attack, that's about all I know," Sam told them.

"Could they identify them if they saw them again?" Mal asked.

"Possibly. The point of this meeting is to let you know that until further notice I'm suspending all off-world expeditions. It's too dangerous with the Alliance attacking places that the SG teams have visited."

Mal shook his head as he looked at the report she'd provided. "No, they've only hit planets that SG-1 has visited. The planet where SG-19 remained to monitor the listening station is the only planet that we haven't visited." Mal stared at the report. "It's nice to see that Nesrin lost a few of her men to the giant man-eating squirrels."
