A/N: Thoughts in bold Italics
Enjoy!
Nothing. Just silence.
. . .
. . .
. . .
An extremely LONG ASS period of silence.
The silence was killing me softly, honestly. After telling them how I woke up in a cave, had human intelligence that helped me to understand the basic fundamentals of the world, knew I should stay and wait for my mother.
Nothing.
After telling them I ventured out to find her and found her dead in the middle of the road. The Beast-hunter brothers. Lady Mikoto. Then me telling Dr. Tsume everything I learned so far in her vet office. The man in the market being a Gou, the beast hunter, and my effort to buy Sasuke time to escape.
Nothing. Just Silence.
My trip to the Hidden Sand's underground beast-hunting ring. The beasts I collaborated with to escape, only for them to stay behind as the building collapsed, all so they could kill their oppressors.
I left out Junichi and Reiko.
They're safe now, and it's best that it stays that way.
I told them I hitch-hiked a ride from the marketplace to the Hidden Leaf. Of the Mei family. I told them about the rogue bandits who wore shinobi headbands. How I fought to save the Mei family and failed. How it felt like my rage turned to lightning, and I was struck, but no immediate pain.
Then I told them I nearly blacked out afterwards, gained a human form, and defeated the bandits with a new ability. The ability to manipulate the earth we walk on.
And that I didn't need to use hand signs in order to do it.
Dr. Tsume takes over afterwards, telling of how she got the message that I was in a village just a few miles from the Hidden Leaf. And how the letter said to come immediately, and to tell no one what you were receiving from them.
Silence engulfs the room as our storytime ends. I kept my head trained to the ground once I started talking and they remain there still. I was too afraid to look at them.
Itachi speaks first. "So, are you. . . a werewolf?"
WOW. Wasn't expecting THAT.
Well, now that I think about it, I guess that is what I am.
"Yes, I believe I am. Although, I've never met anyone like me to compare myself to. The closest creature you could compare me to would be the werewolf creature from urban legends."
"Prove it." Fugaku utters into the silence. I perk my head up and look at him, confused.
"What? How do I--"
"Transform. I want to see your human form." He orders. Dr. Tsume rubs my back for comfort, but my stomach only churns and twists into tighter knots.
"Now." He orders.
I make an effort to reach into my 'mental pocket' for my human form and grab a hold of it. Once I change forms, I make an effort to look him in the eye. But then, something happens to me. This feeling washes over me.
Fear.
My mind starts moving a million miles a second, with half-cocked and sometimes irrational thoughts pushing to the forefronts of my mind:
