Cinnamon roll POV

Kiba-kun tapped out.

As did Lee.

Only Choji, Naruto-kun, and Moriko were left in the battle.

Sakura, Ino-chan, Tenten-chan and I watched from the sidelines, cheering them on. Shikamaru and Neji-nii watched as well, though Shikamaru wasn't impressed and Neji-nii only shook his head in disbelief.

"Come on, Naruto! You can do it!" Sakura yelled.

"Choji, you better not lose! You're in your element! Go Choji, go!" Ino-chan shouted in response, then the girls gave each other a playful glare. They've made up and are friends now but like to still compete for some odd reason.

"This is insane." Tenten whispered to us. "I never thought they'd hold out this long."

"Lee, get off the floor. You're embarrassing us." Neji-nii sighed heavily, but I could tell he wasn't really upset with him. "You didn't even make it through your second bowl." He helped Lee up, who was rubbing his stomach with a green tint over his face.

Oh dear.

"Why did you insist on joining this competition again?" Tenten asked as she took hold of Lee's arm and draped it over her shoulder so he could stand and watch the outcome of the match.

"Moriko does not wish to battle me. But she is one of the strongest shinobi I've met since Neji, you, Sasuke, and Gai-sensei. I've traded fists with all except her."

"Why won't she battle you?" I asked. "She's a bit of a battle junkie, so I kinda thought if you asked, she would oblige."

"I. . . don't know. Maybe it is because the last she saw me, I wasn't doing well." He quiets for a moment, and we all turn to him. There's a moment of silence as we all think of the time after the exams. It didn't seem like he'd be a shinobi after then.

But he made it.

He looks up and smiles at everyone despite his upset stomach. "But she was right to not tell me my future plans to do the surgery. That was a decision I needed to make on my own. And I am stronger for it!" He shouts triumphantly. "I only wish to show her that, but she won't fight me. So, I will compete with her in every other way possible until she acknowledges my strength! Blegh---" Lee throws up on Tenten, who goes green in the face as well.

"Well, I saw that coming." Ino-chan mumbles as Sakura-chan helps both Tenten and Lee.

"NO FREAKING WAY!" Shikamaru shouts, and we turn back to the competition to see who the winner is.

"WINNER! Moriko Hatake!" Teuchi-san announces proudly. My best friend grins from ear to ear, her left fang sticking our considerably, almost like an overbite. Naruto-kun has his head in his ramen bowl and Choji is. . .

. . . on the floor. . .

. . .completely out cold.

Poor Choji-kun. It was close, but Moriko is the clear winner.

The dish they were eating was a new version of ramen: extra spicy beef. Moriko loves spicy and has a high tolerance for it.

He didn't stand a chance. But I couldn't bring myself to tell him and Naruto-kun that.

Wait, Naruto-kun!

"Naruto-kun! Naruto-kun, are you okay?" I rush over to his side and check to make sure he's still breathing normally. He could be in a food coma if it's irregular.
