Sasuke POV

It's been one month since I left the village.

Orochimaru's almost exactly like Moriko described in the scroll:

Obsessed with forbidden medical practices.

As well as poisons.

Human experimentation.

And his hate for the Hidden Leaf hasn't ceased despite going back to kill his sensei.

If anything, it's increased. Tenfold.

But he's put its destruction on the backburner for now.

His main focus these days:

Me.

My body is apparently the "perfect specimen." (or close enough)

The plan is to have me to do all the work for him. Train my body to the max and learn various secret techniques and jutsus that he uses.

That way once I've finished my mission and defeated Itachi, he can take it over and not have to worry about relearning anything to become accustomed to the body.

This curse seal. . .

It's not my own power, and yet part of me still craves it.

And the other part of me that doesn't is disgusted with myself for craving it.

It's basically Orochimaru's DNA.

I shiver at the thought of him actually wearing my face.

It'll never happen. I'll kill him before he gets the chance.

I'll make sure of it.

The scroll I stole from Moriko's sealed box has been very useful. It lists what I am to accomplish by the time Naruto, Sakura, and a Root member named Sai, come to find me in an underground hideout of Orochimaru's.

Two and a half years.

I have two and a half years to gather all information I can from Orochimaru on the Akatsuki and Itachi.

I just finished sending my first mission report back to Tsunade and am waiting to hear back.

I had to wait until I was allowed to train alone. I thought of trying to do it when everyone at this compound fell asleep. . .

But I learned quickly that sleep is dangerous here.

I didn't sleep the first four nights.

And to think Moriko felt this way in human form all the time. . .

I'm the only one guaranteed protection here by Orochimaru himself. And that snake isn't exactly trustworthy. This only serves as motivation to get stronger faster. That protection won't last long if he finds out what I'm planning.

So I sent my letter off by summoning an eagle. The one thing Itachi taught me that I don't entirely hate: Bird summons.

They always fly home. So long as I summon a bird from the Land of Fire, it'll make its way there. The rest is up to Tsunade to find it.

That's our deal. I can only hope she finds this letter:

ᴏʀᴏᴄʜɪᴍᴀʀᴜ ᴏᴠᴇʀꜱᴇᴇꜱ ᴍʏ ᴋᴇɴᴊᴜᴛꜱᴜ ᴛʀᴀɪɴɪɴɢ. ɴᴏ ɴᴇᴡꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴀᴋᴀᴛꜱᴜᴋɪ ᴀᴄᴛɪᴠɪᴛʏ.
