With a shake of her head, Antoinette said to Elijah, "Thank you. Can you ever forgive me for the mess that my family made?"

With a shake of his own head, Elijah replied, "I could ask you the same question." After a couple seconds of silence, Elijah asked her, "Where will you go?"

Antoinette said to him, "Someone once told me that Shanghai is a safe place to hide out."

In turn, Elijah asked her, "Someone?"

As she moved one of her hands towards the side of his face, Antoinette told him, "A man who always did right by me. So I suppose I can trust him." As she started to move her face towards his, she said, "Till we meet again."

After the two of them lightly pressed their lips onto one another's, they pulled away and Elijah said to her, "If we meet again."

After taking a step back from him, Antoinette replied, "I sincerely hope that we do."

After turning her back on Elijah, Antoinette started to walk away from him.

It wasn't until she was far enough away from Elijah that he couldn't hear anything more from her that Antoinette suddenly found herself being thrown against a brick wall.

After letting out a groan, Antoinette started to stand up, only to stop when the front of her neck was grabbed and she found herself being raised off of the ground and her body held up against the brick wall.

Just as she was about to attempt to break free of the grip her captor had on her, she suddenly stopped when she heard a voice say to her, "If you really thought that I was just going to let you leave this country with your head still intact, then I'm afraid that you have another thing coming, Antoinette Sienna."

The moment she heard her captor's voice, Antoinette closed her eyes and prepared herself for whatever hell she was about to be put through.

For several seconds, everything was silent between Antoinette and her captor.

Just as she was about to start to wonder why her captor had yet to do something to her, she suddenly stopped and quickly opened her eyes with a gasp when a hand was quickly shoved into her chest and her heart was grabbed.

And the moment she had opened her eyes, she found herself staring down into the eyes of none other than Annabelle Mikaelson, the Original vampire she had heard plenty of stories about for over ninety-years by any vampires she had come across after her choice to leave behind her family long before she came across Elijah in the state he was in after having the always and forever vow compelled from his mind.

With her head tilted to the side, Annabelle asked Antoinette, "Do you really have nothing to say to me, Antoinette?" When Antoinette didn't respond, Annabelle asked her, "After everything your bitch of a mother had done to Hayley, you still have nothing to say to me?"
