While listening to Rebekah's consistent crying, Annabelle couldn't help but roll her eyes to herself with a sigh.

It had been approximately ten minutes since Rebekah had called her and she still failed to find out just what Rebekah's problem was.

She was just about to hang up and go back to tearing into the neck of her victim, only to stop when she heard Rebekah say, "It's Nik. He's dead."

Annabelle's eyebrows furrowed as she asked, "What do you mean he's dead?" When Rebekah only started to cry once more, she sighed before she said, "Rebekah, I need you to tell me every single thing that has happened today."

Rebekah asked, "What good is that going to do? Nik's dead and any one of us could be next."

Annabelle's eyes narrowed as she stared at the brick wall that stood in front of her before she asked, "Where are you now?"

Rebekah was silent for a couple seconds before she asked, "Why?"

Annabelle sighed before she said, "Rebekah, just tell me where you are. That's all I need to know."

Rebekah was silent for a couple of more seconds before she said, "You plan on coming back here, don't you?" When Annabelle didn't respond, Rebekah said, "Annabelle, you can't come back here. Alaric killed our brother with a weapon that can't be destroyed, and he can't be killed with it, either. You need to stay as far as you possibly can from here. I can't risk losing you and Kol, too."

With a sigh, Annabelle said to her, "Don't worry about me, little sister. Just tell me where you are. I need to make sure that you and Elijah are safe and that neither of you are at risk of being killed as well."

Rebekah asked, "Does this mean you won't try and face Alaric yourself? You won't go on a suicide mission in an attempt to avenge Nik?" When Annabelle didn't respond, Rebekah said, "Annabelle, no. You have to stay far away from here. You have to—"

Annabelle said to her, "I'll see you soon, sister."

Before Rebekah had the chance to say something else, Annabelle had hung up.

After shoving the phone into her coat, she was about to leave and head back to Mystic Falls, only to stop when she felt two hands grab her neck from behind her.

Before she had the chance to react, her neck was snapped, and she fell onto the floor and stared up at the one responsible for snapping her neck.

After sighing to himself, Kol said, "I'm sorry, sister, but I won't let you get yourself killed like this."

Without saying another word to her, he picked her up and carried her to their vehicle and immediately drove out of the town as soon as he had turned the key into the ignition.

While occasionally glancing in the rearview mirror at Annabelle, who was still lying in the exact place that he had put her in, Kol said into the phone, "Yes, Rebekah, I made sure of it. I'm taking her somewhere that would ensure she couldn't get back to Mystic Falls any time soon."
