Jimin ♡ Snake Hybrid [request]

"You ready, Jimin?" You called out, grabbing your bag.
"Yeah. I'm just a little nervous."
"There's no need to be nervous. Come on out." You urged, gently.
Jimin stepped out into the entryway, looking down shyly, his fluffy blonde hair brushing against his forehead. The natural lighting inside the house reflected off the shiny pinkish scales dotting his cheekbones and framing his eyes. He wore an oversized sweater that showed off his collarbones as well as the scales that dotted them. It was his favorite sweater because he knew how much you adored his scales.
Jimin wasn't used to going out in public. It wasn't very common for someone to have a snake hybrid and he didn't want to freak anyone out, though you assured him he wouldn't do anything of the sort.
"You look really nice." You complimented him, running your fingers through his fluffy hair. "All dressed up for your first outing at the mall."
He let out a soft giggle, his cheeks tinting pink.
"I'm serious. You look very cute."
This only caused him to smile bigger, his tiny fangs briefly on display.

Once the two of you got in your car, you noticed Jimin was fiddling with the ends of his sleeves, nervously tugging at them and pulling them over his hands. You were quick to put a stop to it, resting your hand on top of his.
"There's nothing to worry about, bub."
He nodded, forcing a smile.
"If you don't wanna do this, we can always stay home."
"No." He shook his head. "I wanna do this. I need to be brave."
"You're sure?"
He gave a nod of finality, letting you know his decision was set in stone.
"Here." You reached over, turning up the radio. "Let's listen to some music."
One of Jimin's favorite songs was currently playing which distracted him immediately. He began bobbing his head to the beat, tapping his fingers on his knees.
Seeing that he was preoccupied with the music, you pulled onto the road and headed towards the mall.

"So, where do you want to go first?" You asked once the song on the radio ended.
"Oh. I don't know." He responded. "This is my first time going to the mall."
"We can always decide when we get there. That's the fun thing about the mall, you can just walk around and see which store tickles your fancy."
Jimin let out a giggle, murmuring, "Tickles your fancy." to himself causing you to smile.

The rest of the ride to the mall was nice. Jimin didn't talk too much, but seemed distracted by the music on the radio, which you noticed he would hum along to every once in a while. You hated that he was so nervous, caring too much about what others would think of him and how he would be perceived, but you also thought it was admirable that he chose to go out despite his worries.
It was only when you pulled into the mall's parking lot that you noticed him tense up.
"It's alright." You assured him. "We're gonna go in and have a good time."
He nodded, letting out a long breath to calm himself. "I can do this."
"That's the spirit!" You said enthusiastically, pulling into a nearby parking spot.

Jimin's nerves heightened upon stepping into the mall. Seeing all the people walking around inside put him on edge. He unconsciously reached for your hand, lacing his fingers with yours. Knowing he was nervous, you gave his hand a reassuring squeeze, which caused him to look over at you. Even with his uniquely colored yellow irises and slitted pupils, his eyes still looked round and innocent as he gazed at you, his brows pulled together slightly in worry.
"You're very brave, Jimin. I'm proud of you."
This caused him to smile, his pink, pillowy lips turning up into a smile.
"Let's go check out the stores." You told him, wanting to get his mind on something else. "If you see one you want to go into, just let me know."
He nodded and walked with you further into the mall, his eyes scanning the different stores and looking for one that caught his attention.
His hand squeezed yours when you came across a place he wanted to check out.
"That one." He gestured.
"Alright. Let's go in."
