Mysterious Adventure Part 2

Chapter 28

I slowly started to open my eyes as I looked around the room to see if anything was familiar I wasn't back at the mansion that's for sure but I also wasn't at Jack's hideout either I couldn't figure out where I was until I heard the door open. I saw Nick standing in the doorway holding something in his hands Nick said "I know you still don't like me or trust me for that matter but you should try to eat something". I said "The last time I ate something from you I was in your bed that same night" Nick walked over and placed the bowl on the nightstand then walked over to the fireplace and placed more logs of wood into the fire. Nick said "Your leg should feel better in a few days or so" I said "What are you planning here Nick" Nick said, "Nothing, it's as I told you before I'm not here to hurt you any more than I already have". I said "bullshit you're always planning something," Nick said "you're wanting to know how to break free from Jack's control right," I said "How the fuck did you know that," Nick said, "I used to be one of his puppets". I wanted to believe him but at the same time I didn't Nick said "Jack is the reason why he made me hunt you down and do all of those things to you". I said "Like hell, you had every fucking chance to break free but did you no you didn't," Nick stood there as the wood in the fireplace cracked Nick said, "Has she asked about me yet". I said "If you are talking about our daughter no she hasn't asked about you," Nick said "What's her name," I said, "Why the fuck would I tell you that so you can rip her away from me don't think so". Nick said "What no I would never do that to you or her," I said "Go anywhere near her and I'll kill you myself" Nick said "You know she's going to ask about me" I said, "You think I don't know that". I know that I can't hide him from Rose I have enough on my plate to deal with anyway, my stomach started growling causing me to clench my stomach as I looked over to the nightstand where the bowl was sitting. I reached over to the bowl grabbed it and ate the food inside the bowl when I was done I set the empty bowl back down on the nightstand trying to relax. Nick grabbed the empty bowl and walked with it into the kitchen to get washed I looked over at the window across the room watching the snow fall I started to become tired but I didn't want to fall asleep with Nick nearby. Not only that Jack could try to take control at any moment before I knew it I fell asleep not knowing what was happening around me. I wasn't sure how long I was out for but when I woke up it was dark out and Nick was sleeping in the chair sitting in the corner I sat up pulling the covers off of me as I sat on the edge of the bed, it's weird not seeing a chain around my ankle. 

Just then I felt a slight sharp pain in my head not knowing if it was Slender or Jack's boss whoever was trying to talk to me their communication was being blocked somehow Nick woke up and saw that I was out of bed while also seeing that I was in pain. Nick walked over attempting to see what was wrong but I had put up a barrier so he couldn't get near me I said "Stay the hell away from me Nick". I could hear the muffled voice that sounded like Jack's boss trying to talk me by giving me a mission to do but it was all muffled then finally the pain in my head started to go away. I looked at Nick and the barrier you disappeared as you lost consciousness a few hours had gone by, and as you began to wake up you noticed that Nick was holding onto you in his lap. I said "So what am I supposed to do to stop it" Nick said "To stop Jack it's a bit more complicated than you think" I said "So what your saying is I'm going to be stuck with you" Nick nodded his head as I started to sit up. Nick said "The only reason he wasn't able to reach you was because I had a barrier put up," I said "And what am I supposed to fucking do if Slender is trying to get through to me what then Nick". Nick said, "I know you don't want to work with me but I am your only chance of stopping Jack and his boss from taking control over your body and making you do something reckless". I said "They have already made me hurt Hoddie and attempted to have me kill Jeff twice," Nick said "Then those orders are coming from Jack's boss," I said "No shit". Just when you thought it was over the splitting pain in your head came back but more painful giving you no time to react, my vision went dark unaware of what was going on around me. I could hear Jack's boss's voice loud and clear of a mission he wanted me to do I tried to fight back but it wasn't enough when I woke up I noticed that my arms were suspended above my head. Nick walked downstairs avoiding eye contact Nick said "I had to restrain you down here, it's for your own safety" I said, "Like hell what are you going to do if the others start looking for me if they haven't already". Nick said "I know they aren't fond of me but they won't find this place because the entire building is invisible" I couldn't get the mission out of my head Jack said, "The more you keep fighting it, is all the more painful for your body,". I said "Get out of my head Jack" Jack was talking to me through telepathy like always which made me wonder if Nick could hear what I was hearing since he used to work for them. The markings on my body were glowing indicating that Jack was somewhere near the building the two of you were in which isn't good Jack could attempt to take control over Nick again.
