Chapter 45

I had to play by Zalgo's rules; otherwise, he'd kill me I was back to being Zalgo's puppet, doing his dirty work Jack said, "your quicker than last time" I said, "Shut it, Jack, before-" Zalgo said, "Both of you shut up" I looked over at Zalgo putting my knife back. Zalgo said, "I have something for you to take care of I'm sure you can handle it" I grabbed the paper, looked down at it, and started heading out to the location that I needed to go to once I arrived, the area looked familiar to me. I looked down at the paper again, making sure I got the right location, and sure enough, I was in the right place, but something felt off about it. I looked around to see if I could find my target, but found nothing until I heard a voice from behind me they didn't sound familiar I turned around to see who it was, but saw nothing. I kept looking around to see if I could find the person I was looking for, until their hand was placed over my mouth I elbowed them in their stomach and threw them onto the ground, pulling out my knife. Nick got up off the ground Nick said, "damn, you throw really hard" I said, "Yeah, well, I have lots of experience" Nick went to grab my arm, but I put my knife to his chin. I said, "Where the hell are you taking me" Nick said, "Back to his mansion, you're not working for Zalgo" Nick grabbed ahold of my arm, pulling me out of the area, but I pulled my arm back I said, "I'm not going anywhere with you". I started to feel a stabbing pain in my head, I leaned against the wall so I didn't collapse or pass out I looked over where Nick should be standing, but he wasn't there anymore maybe it was just my imagination. I tried to focus on the mission that was given to me by Zalgo, as I kept on flying through the air, I found a city I've never been to before. No doubt about they know about how dangerous I am, considering my bounty was broadcasted worldwide, which meant I would have to go into this new city with a disguise like I did where I used to live. I shifted into a different person as I walked into the city I looked around to see if I could find what Zalgo was looking for, then I found them as they walked down an alleyway. I followed them, making sure to keep my distance so they wouldn't notice me, not like they would be able to tell that it's me anyways, but I could never be too sure anymore, as I kept following them, I could feel that something was off. The alleyway was long, as they kept on turning around corner after corner, was it possible that they knew they were being followed, or were they trying to lead me into a trap if so, I couldn't afford either of those things to happen. They stopped at a wall and turned towards me as I stopped walking, I was watching them, and they were watching me, but then you noticed the feathers gathering at their feet they weren't mine, and there was no wind. They spread their wings and flew up into the air I continued to chase after them as I threw one of my knives at them, clipping their wing in the process as they fell to the ground. There are others like me, and Zalgo has been keeping it from me I watched as they hit the ground hard, their blood spilling everywhere on the ground as I flew back to the woods, I felt a sharp pain in my head, causing me to scream in pain as I landed in a tree. I said, "Get out of my fucking head!" the battle in my head for control was excruciating; it was as if I was being pulled in two one half of me was pulling towards Zalgo, and the other half was pulling towards Slender, and I know I can only choose one.
