Mysterious Adventure Part 2

Chapter 42

The next morning I was downstairs with the kids playing with them while also watching Jade until I heard something outside Luke's parents weren't home yet as they were visiting a relative in the next town over and wouldn't be back until later tonight. Luke was also still at the mansion trying to help Slender and the others with some things I looked over at Rose and asked her to come here Rose said "What is it mommy" I said, "Rose I need you to do something for me okay". Rose said "What's that" I said "I need you to take Hunter and your little sister Jade upstairs to daddy's closet and hide okay" Rose said "But why" I said "We are playing a game of hide and seek okay" Rose was still too young to understand what was going on. Rose looked over at Hunter and Jade telling her little brother that they needed to hide in Luke's closet I watched as Rose picked up Jade carefully as the three of them walked upstairs to their father's room. I heard them close the door to the room I took a deep breath and looked around the house to see who was watching us I still felt the presence that someone was still watching us. The marks on my body weren't helping either as they were back to glowing like they did last night but this time the glow was brighter than the previous night meaning Jack was nearby. How could Jack know that I was still alive unless he got the information from Jeff just then I felt someone's hands around my mouth as the other hand was holding my wrists. I kicked their leg forcing them to let go of me and grabbed a hold of them and threw them against the floor hard seeing that it was Jeff I backed away Jeff got up off the floor Jeff started to walk towards me but stopped. Jeff said "You need to come with us, the boss is waiting for you" I said, "No last time I checked you don't call Slender 'boss' Jeff" Jeff said, "Too bad you're coming with me". I said "I'm not going anywhere Jeff or should I say Zalgo" Jeff smirked and lunged toward me but I managed to move out of the way in time and grabbed a kitchen knife out of the cutting board. I said "Jeff if your still in there Zalgo is only using you just like how he was using me" Jeff  tried lunging at me again as I stabbed him in his shoulder. Jeff grabbed me and threw me against the wall causing me to drop the kitchen knife I had in my hand Jeff walked over picking me up and tossed me into the living room floor as I landed on my side. I tried to get up off the floor trying to catch my breath but Jeff walked back over to me and kicked me in my stomach causing me to cough up some blood with the knife in his hand. I heard a small voice call out to me I looked over at the stairs to see Rose had come out of hiding Jeff looked over at the stairs seeing Rose and started walking over to her I gabbed Jeff's leg causing him to fall to the floor. I said "Rose go and hide now!" Rose ran back into Luke's room closing and locking the door while I tried to hold Jeff off then I felt a sharp pain in my side I look to see that Jeff had managed to stab me. 

Jeff removed the knife from the side of my stomach causing me to yell out in pain I covered my wound with my hand as he tossed me to the side again but this time I laned on my injured side Jeff started walking over to the stairs I said "touch my kids your good as dead Jeff". Jeff said "or what your in no conditon to fight back" I tried to stand back up but my body was screaming in pain as Jeff placed his foot on the first step I heard the front door being kicked in. As the door was kicked open Ben and Luke rushed in as Ben took care of Jeff my vision started to blur I could hear the faint teriffied screams from the kids upstairs. Luke ran over seeing that I was injured I said "t-the kids, there ups-stairs in your r-room" Luke ran upstairs to get the kids out of his room Rose said "daddy w-wheres m-mommy". Luke said "shh shh its okay, its all okay now, mommy is okay" my vision went dark as I had succumbed to my injury I wasn't sure how much time had passed but when I woke up I was in bed at the mansion. It took me a moment to process what happened until I remembered the kids I jolted up placing my hand on my side as I felt shooting pain Jane said "easy there easy, we dont want you reopening your wound". I said "t-the kids where are they" Jane said "their downstairs with Luke and Masky" I laid back down on the bed as a light knock was placed on the door. Jane walked over to the door and opened it seeing Luke was standing on the otherside of the door Luke walked into the room as Jane left giving us some space I turned my head to look at him. Luke sat down on the bed and looked at me before looking down at my stab wound on my side from Jeff, Luke said "you should have waited for one of us to get there" I said "Luke if I waited he would have gotten to the kids". I squeezed his hand letting him know that everything is okay I said "there couldn't have been a way for us to know that Jeff would show up at your parents house". I heard a voice from behind the door Luke said "what is it sweetie" Rose said "is mommy awake yet" Luke said "she's still asleep Rose you can show her in the morning okay" Rose said "okay daddy". I was feeling a bit tired I felt Luke's lips on my forehead as he walked off out of the room I closed my eye's and tried to get more sleep as I felt a nice breeze coming through the bed room window. I woke up in the middle of the night hearing Jade crying Luke got up out of bed to go see what Jade wanted I sat up in bed slightly trying to avoid reopening my wound. I said "is she hungry" Luke said "no she just wanted to be held but I could imagen that she's hungry" I sat up in bed all the way and I feed Jade as Luke walked downstairs to get me something to drink. Luke walked back upstairs with a glass of water to our room and sees that there is some blood on the bandages around my side he set the glass down on the night stand and went to go get clean bandages.
