Chapter 49

It took a while for me to get back into my normal routine, especially my kids, Luke wasn't answering my call or responding to my texts, but still, I felt lost and alone Jade was learning how to crawl as I took videos and sent them to him and his parents, but the only ones who responded were his parents. When night came around, and the kids were in bed, I sat outside hugging my knees to my chest as I looked up at the night sky Masky and Jane saw that I was outside and came over to see if I was okay. Masky said, "Hey, you doing alright" I said, "I... I don't know," Jane said, "it's because of Luke, isn't it" I said, "he's not answering my calls nor my texts, I'm scared to ask his parents if he's pissed at me" tears started to form in my eyes Masky said, "Why don't the three of us head over to his place and see whats up". I nodded my head as I stood up and started walking, as the three of us walked, I could see his house coming into view, and I could hear him talking, laughing, Masky and Jane stayed a few distances away as I walked closer my eyes widened as I saw him with another girl tears fell from my cheeks. Luke looked over and saw me as he quickly got up and walked over, but I started walking away, crying Luke said, "Hey, what are you doing here" I said, "I don't know, seeing where the father of my children is, and here I find you with another girl". Luke said, "I didn't--" I said, "What am I supposed to tell them.... that their father is no longer going to be a part of their lives anymore..... I know and understand that Rose isn't yours, but..... she grew up knowing you were her father.... Jade is too young to understand......" Luke stood there, silent unsure how to answer. When he tried to reach out, I pushed his hand out of the way I said, "I think we need a break, Luke..... it's clear that you want nothing to do with me anymore..... I'll still drop off the kids at your parents house so they can see them..... enjoy your new life, Luke...." I walked off crying, covering my face with my wings. When I got back to the mansion with Masky and Jane, I stayed in my room for the rest of the day I didn't even come down to eat the next morning there was a gentle, soft knock on my door I looked over at the door and told them to come in. Rose walked into the room and walked over to the bed Rose said, "Mommy, when is daddy coming home" I said, "he's not coming home..." Rose said, "Why" I said, "Because daddy found someone else..." you could see that she was upset you didn't know what else to tell her. I got up out of bed as I walked over to her and hugged her I heard her tiny cries as it caused me to cry even more I said, "But... grandma and grandpa are more than happy to see you, Hunter, and Jade" she nodded her head and went back to her room. Jane said, "So what now" I said, "I don't know.... I think I'm done giving my heart out" Jane watched as I walked out of my room and downstairs into the living room, as I walked outside and flew into the sky.
