Chapter 57

Days turned into weeks while I stayed with Nick much to Masky's protests I said, "Lilly... her name will be Lilly" Nick said, "It's beautiful for her" he leaned in and placed a kiss on my cheek I didn't push him away like I used to I leaned into him more. Nick said "I'll let you decide... if I get to be in her life or not whatever you decide I will live with" I looked at him for a moment then I looked down at Lilly watching as she slept in my arms an answer that should have been quick to give I was now thinking if this is what I wanted for my newborn daughter. I said, "You can stay in her life on one condition" I looked up at him Nick said, "And that condition is" I said, "No one can know she belongs to you" Truthfully, Masky is the only one who knows, possibly. Nick nodded his head, knowing full well what would happen if anyone at the mansion found out they would hunt him down and force him out of hiding Lilly started to fuss a bit as she was feeling cold I said "can you grab the thick soft blanket please" Nick nodded his head and went to go find the blanket. When he returned with the thick soft big blanket Lilly started to get fussy and Nick carefully placed the blanket over her small body as the blanket also drapped over your legs. Nick said "I'll go make you something to eat" Nick left the room leaving you with Lilly as she started to calm down as warmth spread through her small body from your body and the blanket as she listened to your heartbeat. I said, "Hi, baby girl, you surprised me...... and your father, but I'm happy to have you in my life" I placed a gentle, soft kiss on the top of her head while she still slept in my arms then Nick came back up with some food that was on a platter. I set Lilly down gently in the middle of the bed as I sat up slowly still feeling pain between my legs Nick set the platter down and helped me sit up I could tell he expected me to push him away, but I didn't. Once I was sitting up he placed the tray in my lap there were eggs, bacon, and toast on a plate with a glass of orange juice on the nightstand, I started eating the breakfast few minutes went by, and I was done eating the breakfast Nick had made. I said, "Does this cabin have a tub" Nick nods and he walked over to the bathroom and started running warm water you moved to the edge of the bed and started getting undressed once you were undressed, you made your way to the bathroom. Nick walked out of the bathroom, giving you some privacy but to also keep an eye on Lilly, you got into the bath as the warm water started soothing your sore muscles from being on bed rest. The cabin remained quiet for the most part with the occasional cooing coming from Lilly as she slept, you soaked a bit longer as you got out and drained the water, as you wrapped a towel over your body, you walked out of the bathroom and into the room to change into clean clothes.
