Chapter 29

The markings on my body calmed down after a while but I was still chained up to the wall I didn't know how much time had passed or how long I had been here can only imagine that Eyeless Jack, Ben, and the others have started looking for me. I know Luke is going to give me hell when I get back to the mansion for leaving the kids for that long Nick walks back into the room releasing me from my restraints, and I fall to the ground. I said "I need to get back to the others," Nick said "And what are you going to do when Jack strikes," I said, "Fight him off or give in whichever one comes first". Nick was going to say something but stood there as he watched me get up off the floor and walk up to the main floor reaching the door Nick said "If you leave I'll have to come visit you to help you train". I said "Have fun with that remember they won't let you come near me and you'll be killed on site" I walked out of the hideout closing the door behind me and I started making my way back to the mansion. In the distance, as I was walking back to the mansion I heard someone call for me it was difficult to make out who the voice was since there were multiple of them screaming for me but the one I could hear clear as day was Hoddie. I walked in the direction I heard Hoodie's voice as I walked closer I saw Hoodie looking for me Hoodie turned around and saw that I was standing next to the tree. Hoodie said "There you are we've been worried sick" I said "Sorry Hoodie I know I overdid it this time" Hoodie said, "Slender has been trying to get to you telepathically for about a month". My eyes widened from what Hoodie told me that I had been gone for a month I'm never gone this long usually a week or two but never a month. I said "Luke is probably furious with me for leaving him and the kids for so long" Hoodie shook his head no Hoodie said, "he's very worried about you, he's noticed that you have been acting off as of recently before you left". I walked back to the mansion with Hoodie as I walked in Rose jumped at me in tears Ben said "There you are we are all worried sick" I said, "I'm sorry Ben I didn't think I would be gone for that long". I knelt down to Rose whipping away her tears I said "Come on Rose let's get you ready for bed" I walked Rose upstairs to her room and helped her pick out the pajamas she would be wearing to bed for the night. When she was all settled in bed I walked over to my room to check on Hunter I walked over to him quietly seeing that he was asleep as I was getting ready to walk over to the bed I felt a presence behind me. I turned around to see that it was Luke and I started to avoid eye contact afraid that he was pissed off at me I said "L-Luke I didn't mean to-" I felt his lips on mine, tears started running down my cheeks as Luke sat down on the bed pulling me into his lap.

I woke up the next morning feeling the cool breeze coming from my window when I was done getting dressed I walked downstairs Luke was outside with Rose and Hunter watching them play outside Eyeless Jack walked over seeing that I was watching them through the window. Eyeless Jack said "he was worried about you the most you know," I said "What, I figured all of you would be worried" Eyeless Jack said, "We were, once 4 weeks passed we started to worry about you". I looked down at the ground before looking back at Eyeless Jack I said "I'll be more careful next time" Eyeless Jack said, "Slender is relieved to see that you are back but he's not too happy about how long you were gone" I said "I'll go talk to him, thank you Eyeless Jack". I walked upstairs to Slender's office I was getting ready to open his door but was stopped by Jeff, I looked over at him as he stood there in silence. I said "If you want to say something Jeff then say it," Jeff said "We're just glad to have you back but also if you're looking for Slender he's not home right now" it's possible Slender is out on a mission of his own. I walked off outside sitting next to Luke watching the kids Luke said "You want me to get you something to snack on" I shook my head no as he walked inside to get the kids something to snack on. Rose walked over to me carrying her brother Rose said "Mommy I want more flying practice" I said "Alright Rose but we have to wait for Daddy to come back so he can watch Hunter okay" Rose said, "Okay Mommy". Luke soon returned with some snacks from the kitchen Luke said "I hear someone is excited for flying practice" Rose giggled and ran over to the spot where she was playing. I placed Hunter in Luke's lap gently and walked over to Rose stretching my wings last time I had my wings out in the open they were shedding there feathers but I guess the shedding stopped which was a good thing. I picked up Rose and lifted her off the ground gently as she started to open up her wings I said "I'll catch you if you can't do it okay Rose" Rose said, "Okay mommy". Rose started to move her wings letting go of my hands but I stayed close to her in case she decided not to Rose said "I want to fly higher Mommy" I said, "You sure Rose that might be a bit too high for you". Rose said "I want to try Mommy" I said "Okay Rose I'll be following close by okay" Rose nodded as she tried to fly a bit higher but just as I feared her wings gave out on her. I reached my arms out catching Rose holding her close and flying back to the ground I said "You did well today Rose" Rose said "But I want to fly like you Mommy" I said "And you will it just takes time".
