Chapter 44

The next morning, I slowly started to wake up the pain in my side was numbed from the medicine Masky gave me yesterday, or was it a week ago I sat up in bed and looked around the room everything seemed in place I moved to the side of my bed, getting ready to stand up. A knock was placed on my door as I was trying to stand I told them to come in, and leaning back onto the bed, Ben walked into the room and was relieved to see that I was awake. Ben said, "I'm glad to see that you're awake you've been out for a few days" I said, "That's still a lot" Ben walked into the bathroom and grabbed some bandages. Seeing that there was a small bit of blood on them, Ben said, "Your wound is almost completely healed" I said, "Good, does this mean I can go back to my missions or does Slender have other plans". Ben said, "You would have to ask him on that one" I said, "I don't mind helping Masky and Hoodie with looking out for tresspassers, but I want to go back to the missions I used to do". Ben said, "Then you can talk to Slender about it tomorrow" I nodded my head as I looked over at the door, seeing Rose standing in the doorway Rose said, "Uncle Ben, daddy is looking for you" Ben said, "I'll be down in a few". Rose looked over at me as I patted the bed for her to come sit next to me Rose walked over and sat down on the bed as Ben left the room Rose said, "I'm sorry, Mommy" I said, "Sorry about what, baby" Rose said, "that you got hurt" I whipped away her tears while comforting her. I said, "I would do anything to protect you and your siblings," I pulled Rose into my lap, humming a lullaby as Rose started to fall alseep. I looked up to the doorway, seeing Luke standing there Luke said, "I figured she was up here still" I said, "She wanted to see if I was okay" Luke said, "You should get some rest" I said, "whats your deal Luke all I've been doing is resting". Luke said, "And you're still injured; you almost died what if we hadn't gotten there in time" I said, "I had everything under control, Luke" I stood up, carrying Rose to her room. Luke said, "You call bleeding out to death under control" I said, "I need to put Rose to bed if you're done" Luke walked off a bit pissed I walked into Rose's room and placed her into bed covering her up. I walked out of her room, closing her door quietly, and started making my way to my room I noticed something out of the corner of my eye; the shadowed figure moved closer to me. The figure kept on moving closer I started to back away while placing my hand on my side, but I didn't have a weapon on me; the figure had me pinned to a wall. I could hear other footsteps coming towards me; they sounded like Masky's footsteps the figure in front of me placed their hand on my bandages as they whispered something in my ear. The shadow figure said, "It's time for you to come home" I felt a stabbing pain in my side as if they were pushing something inside of my wound that was half healed, then they disappeared. Masky ran over to see if I was okay, catching me in his arms, Masky said, "Hey are you okay, what the hell happened" I was going to answer him, but I passed out.

I woke up seeing that I was in my room Masky looked up and saw that I was awake Masky said, "You're okay now; can you tell me what the hell happened" I said, "Me and Luke argued a bit I went to go put Rose to bed and" Masky said "and what". I said, "There was this shadow figure in the hallway, I don't remember much after that" Masky said, "Well whatever the hell they did to you, your wound is all healed up" Masky helped me stand up from my bed. I walked around my room with Masky nearby in case I was to fall or pass out, but none of that never happened Luke rushed into the room, hearing what happened. I looked away from Luke seeing that he was still pissed from earlier Luke walked over to me grabbing my hand I said "Luke I need some air" I pulled my hand away and walked downstairs to the living room. I opened the door to the mansion and walked outside to get some fresh air I followed a trail stretching out my arms and wings; it was nice to be out of bed, finally. I walked around some more until I felt someone grab me from behind and tried to knock me out, but I was able to kick them into the floor I turned around to see that it was Nick. I said "the hell is your fucking problem" Nick said "damm you've gotten faster" I said "that doesn't answer my fucking question" Nick said "I just wanted to make sure that you were okay" I said "well you got your answer". Jack said, "Well, well looks like you got my message" I went to go lunge at Nick, but Jack knocked me out in the back of my head he walked over and picked me up, carrying me back to Zalgo. When I woke I was tied down to a chair I could hear a voice; Zalgo said, "It's about time you returned home, my child we have unfinished business to attend to". I said, "Like hell I don't work for you" Zalgo said, "and that stunt you pulled to make me think you were dead was quite amusing" Jack said "it wasn't easy to find you. But then your lovely marks decided to give you away when you were at your boyfriends house" Zalgo said "and Jeff has been a good boy helping us get to you I have no use for him now, now that your here we can get rid of the others". Jack said, "Sir, it appears that Nick is also alive I found the two of them together" Zalgo said, "That traitor he will be dealt with momentarily as for now we deal with her". I said, "The hell are you going to get rid of him" not that I cared, but a small part of me does Jack walked over with something in his hand Zalgo said, "Nothing for you to worry about, now let's get to business". Zalgo started to walk over to me, and my markings started to glow I said, "Get the hell away from me" Zalgo said, "Now, now I wouldn't struggle if I were you I can easily take away my powers that I have given you". I remained still; there was no use in fighting back if I used up all my energy trying to get out of the damm chair I was tied down to, so I followed his instructions reluctantly.
