Sidney's POV:
"Oh my god...is that really true?"
I nodded and angrily stared at the door where both Sage and Alex has disappeared. How dare she?! Her girlfriend is actually here with us and yet she still attempted to flirt with Adeline, a drunk Adeline, by the way.
"That is so messed up! I should warn my sister about this."
I saw how aggravated Greg was, which is very new to me because he is a very calm person. I dumbfoundedly watched him stand up and rushed upstairs. I heavily sighed and all the possible events that will happen later come rushing to my mind. I think this is our cue to leave.
I placed my drink on the table and examined the peaceful look on Adeline who is sleeping blissfully on my lap. Although I am starting to feel numbness in my thighs, I didn't bother to pick her up and let her sleep in Greg's bedroom because she seems comfortable here.
"What are you doing to me? Ady?" I whispered as I tucked the fallen pieces of her hair behind her ears.
It's funny how she only drank 2 cups of beer and now she's already fast asleep, the thought alone made me let out a small laugh. As much as I want to continue watching her, we really need to go now because I swear I could hear them shouting at each other upstairs.
"Ads, wake up. We need to go now."
After a few calls and hearing no response, I already knew what to do. I gently lifted her head from my lap and lowered her down to the couch so that she was in a full lying position. I gathered all the strength I could muster before tucking my arm around her legs and the other one behind her neck.
I grunted as I realized that she was not as light as I expected. Right before Greg could place his foot on the stairs, I was already walking toward my car. I unlocked the passenger's door and placed Adeline down in the seat. I rushed to the driver's side and started the car's ignition.
I checked the time and wiped off the invisible sweat on my forehead. We're not past the curfew yet, thank goodness.
Minutes later, we were already outside Adeline's house. The lights weren't turned on which only meant one thing, her family isn't home yet. I hesitated against my decision to go inside their house but when I peeked through the rare view mirror and saw how miserable Adeline looks, I need to bring her inside and at least help her freshen up.
I opened the door to Adeline's side and carried her the same way I did earlier. On our way to the door, she started to mumble words. I can't really hear some but I recognized some words.
"Inaantok pa akoooo."
I suppressed my laugh and shook my head. I successfully unlocked their door with the help of the keys that cutely hangs behind Adeline's jeans pocket.
I closed the door behind us and I also turned on the lights in the living room. I climbed the stairs and entered her room. I memorized every part of this house because I have been here plenty of times before.
I gently placed Adeline down on her bed. My eyes studied her room, I smiled at the memories we made here together. From making our first social media accounts, watching unhinged scientific theories on the internet, and even making a surprise gift for her brother's 5th birthday.
A faint groan interrupted my thoughts and I quickly went to Adeline's side.
"I-I am not feeling good." She was on the verge of throwing up so I hastily assisted her to stand up and rushed her to their bathroom. Just in time, she puked straight to the toilet while I hold her hair out for her.
"Jesus- I am not getting drunk again, make sure of that." She accusingly pointed her finger at me.
I eagerly nodded and tried my best to not laugh at her state right now. I mean...I didn't look this bad when I had my first taste of alcohol.
"I know you're laughing and it's not helping-" She puked again and this time a laugh escaped my throat.
"Oh my...I am so sorry! B-But this is just...too hilarious." I know, call me a mean person.
With a single glance, she made me entirely shut up. "Ok, I'll stop."
You're better than this, Sid.
"I'll just sleep this off."
As she stood up, my hands were already secured around her waist just in case she fall.
"I'm good. Thank you for...this. You can go home now, Sid."
I ignored her words as I continued to guide her walk. We entered her bedroom and she didn't bother to speak anymore. I went to her closet and searched for some comfy clothes she could wear.
"Hey, do you think this is comfortable enough- ADELINE!"
I quickly faced her closet again right after I turned around to face her. My face is too flustered to turn around.
This girl...she has done this two times this day.
"What!? We're both girls." She shrugged as she lay on her back.
She really is clueless, huh?
"What if I am a stranger? Would you do the same you did earlier?"
She opened her eyes for a moment and glanced at me. She closed it and smirked playfully. "Nope, this body is only for your eyes to see."
My face couldn't be painted right now as I got lost in trance looking at Adeline.
