Chapter 24

- Wolf bite -

"Hey you two what the hell are you doing!?"
The group of guys who are training is Jennifer's group, the wolf doesn't know this also because the girl doesn't seem to be with them so she is ready to pull out her teeth to defend herself

"we are contributing to the development of science"
Nathan answers proudly

"you can't stay here"
Ace is the one who took the initiative to talk to them, he wants to make them understand who is in charge and he seems to have every intention of attacking

"Why? We are not inside the camp"
Destiny responds

"That's just the way it is, and I've never seen you here before"

"We're from the other side of town"
Says Nathan who is not at all ashamed of his origins and who strongly despises those who live in this part of town

"Ohh that's what that smell was"
Ace says holding his nose

"oh I thought the same thing about you"
Destiny replies with a grin

"you shut up bitch I'm talking to the four eyed man"

"what did you call her!?"
Nathan, who usually has a pretty calm if reckless character, can't remain indifferent when a friend of his is insulted and to Destiny's surprise he pulls out of his pocket a small dart that he throws at the boy over the net

"what the fuck, you're crazy!"
Ace is approached by the other guys in the group who obviously take his side

"who the hell are you?"

"Damn beggars"

"get back in the trash!"
Carter, Eric, and some of the guys who are training with them are insulting them

"Oh Close those sewers, you idiots"
Growls Destiny sick of being left to suffer

"huh? Then you didn't understand bitch"
Ace is particularly hard on her, he leaves the field followed by his friends and approaches the two friends

"tell me again if you dare"
She approaches the group leader Destiny ready to make him pay for it

"i said you're a b-i-t-c-h"
Ace slowly punctuates the words approaching Destiny in turn

"ok now I'm sick of you, you want me to throw another dart at you?"But this time straight down your throat, Nathan threatens, standing in front of Destiny

"you get the fuck out of here loser"
Ace pushes him hard making him fall to the ground making him lose his glasses, the boy goes to pick them up but Carter crushes them with his shoe breaking them

"you bastards!"
The wolf now blinded by rage pulls out her claws and delivers a right hook to Ace right in the face, but the boy is very strong so the blow that caused pain even to Destiny just makes him back up

"ptfff and you call that a punch?"
The boy sneers at her with superiority and a mocking smile

"I was just getting warmed up"

"then watch out doggie"

"I AM A WOLF"
Destiny screams gritting her teeth, she unleashes another punch hitting Ace in the stomach, the boy lets escape a cry of pain, but wastes no time and responds by unleashing in turn a blow so powerful that it makes the girl bend in two from the pain

"Destiny stop no need!"
Nathan tries to stop her, in the meantime he got up, he can't see very well without his glasses but at least he can distinguish figures

"this asshole thinks he's who knows who... I just want to put him in his place"

"you're the one who hasn't understood her place yet"
Ace responds giving her another punch taking advantage of the pain caused by the previous one making her fall to the ground

"that's your place, the floor, like a dog"
He says with a grin of satisfaction

"now get lost vermin"
Eric joins his friend

"you... You don't deserve the life you have!"
Nathan, who until now has not been able to do anything, lets out all his frustration and turns on Ace, who by surprise is overwhelmed and falls to the ground, Nathan, who is now on top of him, throws one punch after the other preventing the other to defend himself

"St...sto... Stop it!"
Ace tries to fight back but Nathan doesn't want to stop at that point Carter takes him and pulls him away from his friend

"let me go asshole, I got some for you too!"
Nathan shouts as he struggles trying to free himself from the grip of the boy who has no intention to listen to him

"Ahh... That hurt"
Destiny just got back up.

Ace on the other hand is still on the floor in pain with Eric trying to help him up, at the same time Nathan kicks Carter in the balls who curses in pain and breaks free from his grip, the wolf and the alchemist reunite

"The floor suits you much better"
Destiny asserts with a smirk

"you bastards"
Ace growls, barely able to move his lips

"now have you learned your lesson?"
Destiny continues victoriously looking down on Ace

"we have asserted our dominance! See woman of bad faith?"

"I bow to your immense power"
Says the wolf solemnly bowing slightly to the alchemist

"What the hell happened here?"
The group turn to the voice coming from behind them, Destiny's eyes widening.

This isn't the meeting she has longed for.
