Chapter 36

- It doesn't hurt to try -

Between one thing and another Destiny had completely forgotten to explain her situation with Jennifer to Nathan as she had promised him that time at the theatre, now however she has decided to reveal everything to him since there is now nothing between her and the queen, so she decides to call him and ask him to meet her at the city park.

"Hey Wolf"

"Hi Nath"

Nathan has just arrived, Destiny's heart starts to beat faster with no apparent explanation, until a second ago she was very calm but now she feels like she's about to reveal who knows what dark secret

"So what do you have to tell me?"
The boy asks, sitting next to her on the grass.

The wolf takes a deep breath and begins the story. After a few minutes she finishes talking and waits for the alchemist to say something

Says Nathan

Destiny asks confused not understanding if he took it in a good way or in a bad one

"So is that all? What's it called again?... lesbian drama?"
Says the boy tilting his head slightly

"are you serious?"
Destiny asks shocked, bringing a hand to her forehead

"on wattpad there are and they are very interesting"

"yeah but this isn't a wattpad story it's real life"

"well the only thing I have to say is that I'm happy for you, she would have just ruin your life"

"I still can't get rid of these feelings..."

"you'll see that sooner or later you'll forget about her, she doesn't deserve your attention"

Nathan gives her a pat on the back Cannavacciuolo (Italian chef) style that would've make her choke in a while.

The two guys spend a few more minutes in the park to get some fresh air, if you can call it that, given the squalor of the park, they don't have enough funds to improve its conditions. The two say goodbye, on the way home Destiny seems to have a deja vu, there's a girl in front of the entrance of the decadent part of the city, light brown hair and a nice body, the wolf seems to have already seen such a scene. After a few seconds that girl notices her presence and greets her, Destiny finally manages to understand why the scene looked so familiar to her, she starts to approach the girl

"Hey little princess what are you doing here again?"

"am i wrong or did i tell you not to call me that?"

"mhh i have a hard time remembering"

Zoe rolls her eyes but at the same time blushes slightly

"anyway unbelievable but true I'm here for you"
She says a little shyly

"should I be scared?"

"aha no"

It immediately comes back to Destiny that she actually intended to look for Zoe too since she has to ask her for help with the Audrey issue. After what happened her parents decided that she would no longer go to the psychologist, they no longer feel safe sending her there

"I was actually looking for you too"
Destiny says smiling

"you, you were l... looking for me? Ahah why?"
Zoe gets exhilarated just hearing those words and starts to stutter slightly, but tries to compose herself
