(Devyn)

Xander has been quiet since we've been up. I knew today was going to be a difficult day for him but it sucks overall because I want to be there for him.

I was looking through our closet laying out our clothes for the funeral.

For me, I decided on a pair of black skinny jeans that have tears from my upper thigh, down.

I put them on along with a dark gray Ramones crop T-shirt.

I sat on the bed putting my Hello Kitty ankle socks on and then my black Doc Martens.

For Xander, I set out his black skinny jeans that had tears on the knees, a plain white T-Shirt, his white Vans hoodie and a black jean jacket.

His clothes laid on the bed as he was in the shower. I grabbed my thick caramel brown, black and white flannel shirt, laying it beside his clothes.

I walked into the bathroom looking in the mirror as I started to brush my teeth, doing little makeup and straightening my hair.

Xander turned the water off and I watched as he stepped out of the shower.

He grabbed his towel from the counter and I watched as he walked over to the sink turning the faucet on.

"Your clothes are on the bed."

"Thank you," he says as he started to brush his teeth.

I looked in the mirror deciding whether or not to tie my hair back or just leave it down straight.

I left it alone and I grabbed my perfume spraying some on my wrists and a little on my neck.

"Can we stop for coffee on our way to the funeral home?"

"Where at, Babe?"

I watched as shaved his face and I looked down at my boots, "Starbucks," I respond looking back at him.

"Okay. We'll stop."

He pays his face dry and I nodded.

"I'm gonna go call and check on Eli. Let you get dressed and whatnot."

"Okay. Kiss?"

I smiled walking up to him kissing his lips and he grabbed me, picking me up and sits me on the counter.

"I know I seem distant, I don't mean to be. I'm trying to not think about the funeral."

My arms wrapped around his torso pulling him towards me.

His hands rested on each side of me leaning in kissing my lips again.

I tugged on his towel and he smirked a little, "I'll be back."

"Okay."

He left the bathroom and I brought my leg up on the counter feeling relieved he's talking a little more.

"Here."

He hands me my iPhone and I smiled when he laid his clothes on the counter.

"Call Maria. See how our baby is doing. I miss him."

"I know. I can't wait to pick him up later."

Xander smiled, "Same."

I unlocked my phone going to my contacts as I searched for my Moms phone number and I selected her name dialing.

Xander dropped his towel, putting it in the laundry basket and puts his boxer briefs on.

I watched him as he got dressed, put his jeans and shirt on first, then his hoodie.
