Ch.11 - Halloween Lights

I wake up before Xander. I take a shower and I get dressed wearing my black skinny jeans, a band T-shirt. I put my contacts in.

I put my red Converse on and I braid my hair into pigtails. I sit on my bed and Xander wakes up.

"Good morning, Baby girl."

"Good Morning, Baby."

I laid back and I move closer to him and he hugs me.

"I love you."

He kisses me, "I love you. How did you sleep?"

"I slept pretty good."

He smiled looking at me, "You look beautiful, Dev."

It's the last day of October and I'm excited for our date.

I'm sure children will be out dressed in their costumes waiting for candy.

"Thank you."

I climb out of her bed and I grab my shirt.

"I'll be back." He kisses me and heads to the bathroom.

"I'll be down stairs."

We kiss again and he shuts the door.

I walked downstairs finding Zed at the table with Emily eating.

"Mom still in bed?"

"Yea. Where's Xander?"

"Shower."

I sit in the living room and I tied my shoes.

"Have you met Moms new boyfriend," Zed asks.

"Kind of met him. I didn't know they're together."

I step out of the shower and I dry off. I get dressed except my shirt. I dry my hair out and I walk out of the bathroom.

As I entered her room, I place my other clothes in my bag and I head down stairs.

Devyn was sitting on the couch watching TV waiting for me to get finished.

I walk closer to her and she was laying out on the couch.

"Baby."

She jumps and looked behind her.

"Babe," She said annoyed.

"Sorry."

She stands up and hugs me.

"Why do you have to be so tall?"

"Ask my dad that one."

She giggled and walked into the kitchen. I put my shirt over my head and I pull my necklace from under my shirt in front.

"Baby? I have your necklace and ring."

She turns around after grabbing the cereal box from the pantry.

She stood before me with her back turned to me. I place the necklace in front of her and I chain the hook.

When she turned around to face me, I took her left hand I slide the ring on her finger.

"You two are just gross."

I look at Zed and rolled my eyes.

Devyn hugged me and I kissed her temple.

I fixed a bowl of Lucky Charms and she sat next to me at the table.

"Good Morning, guys."

"Hey, Momma."
