(Xander)
Winter break was here and four more days until my brother marries the love of his life.I'm happy for him, seriously.
I look up to him everyday but now he's out of the house.
There was a knock on my door and it opened, "Hey, Mom," I respond in a low tone.
"Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?"
"Kind of upset because Derek is moved out now. I'm happy for him but I'm obviously kind of...missing him."
"Awe. How sweet. Of course you miss your brother. I know you always stuck together no matter what."
I smiled, nodding.
"Yea."
"Is Devyn coming to the wedding?"
"She is. I think she went shopping with her mom today."
"Oh okay. Maybe we should go do that. You do need a suit. You are his best man after all though."
"I do need one."
"Let's go shopping then."
I climbed out of my bed not even making it.
I grabbed some comfortable clothes and my Vans to take a quick shower.
"Are you ready," my mother asked from downstairs.
"Just about."
I sprayed cologne after brushing my teeth and then fixed my hair.
After getting dressed and ready, I headed downstairs to meet my mom.
"Now I'm ready."
We headed out of the door and everyone was gone. She locked the door behind us and it was raining just a bit.
"Alright. Let's find you a suit."
We were on the road to head outside of town where the mall is located. The drive is about an hour or so but I don't mind.
"How are you feeling?"
"Good. Just nervous for the wedding."
"Sweet thing. You'll make every girl in the audience blush as always. Especially Devyn."
I chuckled, shaking my head.
"Yep. Sounds like you."
....
"What color is the wedding theme?"
"They decided on peach."
"Peach?"
"Yes. You will look handsome. I just know it."
I shook my head, "I guess so."
We were in the mall looking around and we found a store with tuxedos or suits of all kinds for men.
"What does his look like?"
She showed me a picture of a dark gray suit with a peach colored bow tie.
"That looks flashy."
"I know right? My handsome baby."
My jaw dropped, "Excuse you? Just kick me to the curb all of a sudden?"
"Oh zip it. You're going to look handsome too."
We walked in and there were a bunch of guys whom were incredibly loud.
"My best man!"
"Derek?"
"You showed up too late, little bro."
