30 weeks...

(Xander)

Devyn has been in bed all day. I was starting to grow worried.

I walked in the apartment door, just getting home from work. I made my way to our bedroom to check on her.

"Baby?"

As I walked into the room, Devyn was laying on her side facing the door of our bathroom. She opened her eyes when noticed my presence.

"I'm in so much pain."

"You're not in labor are you?"

She shook her head and she slowly closed her eyes.

I kissed her head and she smiled, "Cuddles."

"How? I would cuddle you but you have a huge belly. He's cute and all but...he takes up the bed."

She giggled quietly, "I don't care how. I just want you."

Without hesitation, I climbed into our bed and she laid her head against my chest.

"How are you feeling?"

"A little better. You smell good."

She fell asleep and I watched her as she did.

I stroked her hair as her eyes slowly opened, "This pain is killing me. I wish it would go away."

"I know, Baby girl. I'm sorry."

Devyn closed her eyes and she looked so uncomfortable.

I wasn't sure what to do now.

"Baby? Is there something I can do to help you?"

She was silent...quiet and I look out of the window watching as the sun sets. The sky was fading from orange to navy blue really quick.

She falls asleep in my arms and I laid my head on hers, kissing the top of her head from time to time.

I fell asleep next to her.

(Devyn)

I wake up looking around to what look like a beach. This wasn't  a beautiful bright, white sand with a bright blue ocean.

This one was odd....dark.

The sky was gloomy and gray. The clouds that rolled in were gone.

I raised up and the sand beneath me was black.

Even the ocean looked black or a very navy blue. It almost looked depressing.

"Xander," I question as I looked around once again.

But there were no sign of life.

I stood up to my feet walking along the beach in hopes of finding at least someone.

Not a soul was in sight, I wasn't having any luck.

I saw a black figure and it started walking closer but it was very hard to see who it was.

"Hey," I screamed out loud.

No response.

I started to panic.

I was in a place I wasn't familiar with let alone by myself.

"Devyn."

The figure was closer and they looked at me, "Hey?"

Xander's face revealed the mysterious person and I started balling in tears.

"Hey? You're okay, Baby girl. I'm right here. I'm with you always."
