(Devyn)
"No one cares about you anymore, Devyn. You're nothing but a pathetic, whining, little brat."

I stepped back from him as he stepped forward.

"Stay away from me."

Tears fell from my cheeks, I was terrified.

"Come on, Devyn. Him? Out of all the guys in our friend group. You chose my best friend."

"What...what are you talking about?"

"Xander."

"Xander? What does he have to do with this?"

"He wants what I have. He watched you from the sidelines. He took you from me!"

He reached me, grabbing my shoulders and slammed me against the wall.

Wind began to pick up and rain started to pour down. "Scared yet?"

His grip tightened around my throat and my eyes widened. I gasped for air, "Ethan!?"

....
I raised up, swallowing a deep breath.

I started screaming, scared. "No, no!"

My mom runs in my room, "Devyn. Sweetie? Listen to me."

She brushed my hair out of my face, "He's not here. See? He isn't here." She hugged me tightly and I sobbed in her arms.

Zed walked in and hugged me as well. "You're okay, Sis."

He lets go of me, "I'm going to kill him for causing you this. I swear."

"Zed. Calm down, sweetie. For your sister." My mom looked at me, "Come sleep in my bed."

I smiled faintly, wiping my wet cheeks.

She grabbed my small bear and I climbed out of my bed.

We went downstairs to my mom's bedroom, I climbed in her bed with her laying on her other pillow.

She pulled me closer to her as I hugged my bear, trying to fall asleep.

(Xander)
"Rise and shine, sleepy heads! Time to wake up, get your asses downstairs in 15 minutes. Your mother is making breakfast!"

I wake up to the sound of my dad yelling. "I'm up! Jeez."

I rubbed my eyes and my bedroom light was turned on.

I laid in bed for a little while longer, grabbed my phone from my bedside table and took it off the charger.

Devyn texted me a few times before falling asleep, I read them, smiling.

The light was bright keeping me awake so I got out of bed.

"Good morning." "Morning." I turned around and my older brother, Derek, was standing at my doorway with his fiancée, Cody.

"When are you moving out?"

"Soon actually."

"You found a place?" "Yea. I actually did. Outside of town though. We move out in another month, maybe less. The current owner is renovating it for us before we move in."

"Nice."

They left my room and I got up, walking towards my closet to grab my clothes for the day.

After I got dressed, I messaged Devyn, good morning, and slid my iPhone in my back pocket.

I tied my Converse after putting them on and grabbed my skateboard on my way out of my bedroom.

"Hey, sweetie. There is some food on the table before you head out of the door." I smiled, grabbing a piece of toast. "Thanks mom. I'll see all of you after school."
