Ch.21 - I Do

"You're actually getting married today."

"I know."

Derek and I along with some other guys were in the venue in the dressing room hanging out and preparing for the wedding.

"Are you nervous?"

"Very. I don't know what to think if I'm being honest. I'm excited to see Cody walk down the aisle, looking gorgeous and beautiful. As always of course."

Our dad walked in and he smiled when he saw us two.

"Hey, boys. How are you feeling, Son?"

"Nervous."

"I heard a word from your mother, Cody is very beautiful. She's just as nervous as you are."

"Awe. I miss her already.

He patted his back and helped him get ready.

"Need help with your tie?"

"You know how to tie a tie?"

"A bow tie, yea."

He handed me the bow tie and I fixed it for him, "how's that?"

"Awesome. Thank you."

"Anytime."

We were all getting into our suits and I was pretty excited to see Devyn since I haven't all day.

"How do I look," Derek questioned.

"Flashy as always."

"How long do we have until the wedding begins?"

"Just a few minutes."

Derek was pacing back and forth and I was nervous myself.

"Hey, sweetie?"

"Hey."

My mom walked over and I looked in the mirror.

"Are you alright?"

"Yea. I just haven't worn anything this nice before."

She hugged me from behind rubbing my bare shoulders. She grabbed my brush and my straightener and started to fix my hair.

"He's definitely going to fall head over heels when he sees you."

I giggled and blushed, "All because of you."

I adjust my navy blue dress. It was quite long but stopped just above my ankles. It's strapless and shaped my chest.

"Is that all you want done to your hair?"

"Um..."

I smiled opening my jewelry box grabbing out a navy blue bow.

She pulled my hair back into a half way updo and place the bow in my hair.

"How's that?"

"Perfect."

I grabbed my black rubber wedged heels with pretty flowers on the straps. I put them on zipping the back and I stood up fluffing out my dress.

"You look beautiful."

"You do too."

My mom was wearing a beautiful sun dress and a pair of flats.

Her natural black curls were beautiful and I hugged her.

"We have a wedding to get to. Shall we?"

I smiled, "We shall."

My mom pulled into the driveway and I saw the huge cabin which was beautiful. The ocean was just in front and I looked at my mother.
