(Devyn)
It's been two weeks since Thanksgiving.

And Zed's breakup with Emily.

I heard him from his bedroom and I felt bad, nothing I did would help. Xander even tried getting him out of bed.

He started crying and being his twin, it hurt twice as much.

I take the covers off of me and climbed out of bed. I go across the upstairs level to his room, "Zed?"

"Go away."

Little eye roll, multiple eye rolls.

I huff.

After making an attempt to take his covers, he pulled them back.

"Go away, Devyn!"

Finally, I yanked them away and he looked at me.

"Get out of bed, go take a shower because you smell. Then eat something."

He looked at me and finally I say, "Please?"

"I'll pass."

I grabbed his hand and he tried pulling away but gave up instantly.

"You cannot sit....lay here and mope around about her. She did what she did and lost an amazing guy, Zed. She fucked up. You deserve better. I get it hurts."

"Which is why I rather lay in bed."

I rolled my eyes, yes, again.

"You need to do better for yourself. Work on you and the right girl will come."

He looked at me wiping his eyes, "I hope."

"Can you at least get up, shower and eat?"

"Maybe after I shower, we can go to the diner. I know Mom isn't working there any longer."

"Of course, Bub. I'll meet you downstairs."

He finally gets out of his bed and gathered an outfit for his shower.

I left his room going across to mine and I shut my door to get ready.

My phone vibrates and I grabbed it.

Xander.

I finished getting ready wearing leggings and a black colored Pink hoodie.

"Hey, gorgeous."

"Hey, handsome. How's home?"

"Um...."

He looked behind him and his grandparents and his parents were all yelling over cooking.

"I think it's going okay. No one died yet....."

He looked behind him one more time and I giggled, "Yet."

"I'm sure you'll make it through this week. They go home at the end of the week, right?"

"Yea. What are you up to?"

"Well, I managed to get Zed's depressed ass out of bed finally. We're going to the diner after he gets out of the shower."

I headed downstairs after putting my Converse on and Zed was finishing up.

"Well, it sounds like progress. I wish I could be there with you."

I smiled, "Spend time with your family, Baby. After that maybe we can do a date night again."

"That sounds like music to my ears. I'm going to do a surprise for you though."

"Okay."

"Alexander!"
