(Xander)
"Sweetie?"

I turned over and I covered up in my blankets trying to fall back to sleep.

"Xander?"

My eyes opened and I saw my mom standing at the doorway, "It's Christmas Day."

"Okay. Can I sleep in a little more?"

"No, Your family is already here."

I groaned and she walked towards me and I knew what she planned to do.

"Mhm. Mom, please?"

She pulled my blankets off of me and I looked at her annoyed.

"Come on. Get your ass up."

I got up and she kissed my head, "Merry Christmas, meanass."

I smiled, "Merry Christmas, Mom."

She smiled and left my room so I could get dressed.

My phone was laying on my other pillow and I unplugged it from the charger.

No messages from Devyn yet so she's still asleep.
I decided to send her a message to make her smile.

....

"There he is."

I smiled shaking my head, "Mhm."

I looked around after sitting on the couch. Derek was here with Cody, my sister was sitting on the floor with some of our cousins.

Other family were in the kitchen standing around talking.

"What's new with you?"

"Nothing much."

Our family friends were here as well.

They walked in the door and I saw an old friend from elementary school. I haven't seen her since middle school.

Rylan sits next to me.

She touched my arm and I looked at her.

"What?"

"Nothing, you look cute when your fresh out of bed."

My eyes grew wide and I looked at her kind of shocked.

"Okay."

She started tracing my tattoos on my wrist making me move my hand away.

"Are you good," I questioned her.

"Yea. I missed you that's all."

"Oh. Missed you too."

I feel uncomfortable now.

My parents started handing out gifts and I received a few.

I opened them up and I had a few things like clothes, cologne, and a pair of yellow Vans.

"Oh. This is for you too, little bro. It's more of a thank you for our amazing wedding."

I smiled take the small thin box wrapped in Christmas paper and a bow on top.

After removing the bow, I tossed it in the pile of trash.

"Woah. This must be fancy."

Derek was chucking urging me to open the box already.

As they watched my reaction, I lifted the leather box revealing a set of drum sticks. My jaw fell to the floor.

"No fucking way?! Bro?"
