Ch.27 - Shattered Hearts

My eyes looked up catching a glimpse of Xander when he appeared at the door. The man I love.

Probably will for a while.

My heart shattered when he walked right by me.

It all feels like a crazy dream still as if I have never woken up. This seems so fake...made up.

Tears immediately rushed through my eyes and I couldn't handle this heartbreak anymore.

I raised my hand and Mr.Daniels called on me.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Restroom?"

He nodded and I know he was watching. Hero and Jax was too.

I stepped out of the room and Emery linked her arm with mine and walked me to the restroom.

"I can't."

I broke down in tears and Hannah walked in next, "Come here."

They hugged me tightly and kept silent. I couldn't think just sitting in class and he's there. He's emotionless.

"I don't get it. What did I do wrong?"

They rubbed my back, "I'm pregnant with his child. I'm so fucking lost. I do not get what is happening, you guys."

"Babe, nothing is wrong with you. He's clearly not being himself. Have you tried talking to him in person?"

"Not yet. I'm scared to. He avoids me every chance we're even near each other. Or I just gotten into the habit of going the other direction."

I slowed my breathing trying to not stress myself.

"Hey? Breathe, babe. Breathe. You're carrying life in there. We don't need you to have an accident."

I took deep breaths and I placed my hand over my heart.

I rubbed my belly carefully and I closed my eyes.

"What if I see him in the hallway? What about Hero or Jax? Have they mentioned anything?"

They shook their heads and I sat on the floor of the bathroom. My heart was too heavy and I couldn't bear this anymore.

I need him back but without any explanation, I'll never have him back.

The bell rang and I rolled my eyes, "Help me up."

We walked out and Hero was holding my bag.

"I don't know what the hell his deal is but that's not him. No fucking way that's not him."

I take my bag and I took a deep breath and I saw him walking towards Hero and Jax.

"Tell me why he asked if we're selling after school with Ethan?"

"Do what?!"

Xander grabbed Jax and Hero and they stopped him, "What's your fucking deal, Dude?"

"What are you talking about?"

I stood behind them and I wanted to scream and wake up from this nightmare. It was like my terrors are coming to life.

"You've been sober for years. Ethan's long gone."

"No. I just got a message from him. We leave after school. Either way I'm going with or without you guys. Tell them to fuck off."

Jax grabbed him by his arm, pulling Xander towards him, "He is stoned too."
