Emma's POV

"YEAH KATANA." I shout when Katana makes another ridiculous save in training.

We're now in the Netherlands and Katana's pretty much cemented her place as the number 1 keeper for the national team.

"How the hell does she do that?" Ali asks as we watch the forwards shoot on my favorite Solo.

"It helps when you're 6 foot 3." Lindsey says.

"No." I say. "It helps that she's a good keeper and knows what she's doing."

"Hatin ass bitch." Cairo whispers.

"You think it's so easy then you go in goal." Ash says as Katana saves one of Talia's shots.

"Woah." Cairo says.

"COME ON." Talia groans. "THAT'S NOT SAVEABLE."

"She's got the Solo face down." Kelley says.

"Don't fuck her." I mumble causing Cairo to bump my hip and fight back a chuckle.

"COME ON LADIES." Cairo shouts. "TRAINING'S OVER."

After Cairo shouts, everyone comes over to change out of their boots.

Well, everyone except Katana comes over to change out of their boots.

Katana stays on the pitch for a few seconds then she starts singing while dancing down the field.

"Anybody know what's she doing?" I ask as we watch Katana sing and ballroom dance up the field.

"The same thing she does after every training." Sophia says.

"It doesn't matter how long she's on the training pitch." Tierna says. "The last thing she does before she steps off is sing and Dance up and down the pitch for the duration of three songs."

"She use to do it with Oksana." Andi says then the younger Stanford ladies sigh. "Now I guess she'll just do it alone."

"I'll go do it with her." Kelley says then she starts walking towards Katana.

Before Kelley even makes it five feet towards Katana, Andi, Jane, Tierna, Catarina, Alana, and Sophia step in front of my least favorite defender.

"I wish you would." Jane says.

"Don't fucking try it Kelley." Tierna says.

"Or we're gonna have a big fucking problem." Sophia says.

"Kelley she doesn't even like you." Andi says.

"Ooh." One of the newbies mumbles. "Guard dogs out in full force."

"Trust me." I say as I look at the newbie. "You haven't seen shit."

"Another song?" Abby questions as Katana moves on to another song.

"Told you she sings three." Tierna says then we listen to Katana sing.

Devant mon chevalet
De passer des nuits blanches
Retouchant le dessin
De la ligne d'un sein
Du galbe d'une hanche et ce n'est qu'au matin
Qu'on s'asseyait enfin
Devant un café-crème
Épuisés mais ravis
Fallait-il que l'on s'aime et qu'on aime la vie.

La bohème, la bohème,
Ça voulait dire on a 20 ans

On était jeunes, on était fous.
La bohème, la bohème,
Ça ne veut plus rien dire du tout.

"Well that was beautiful." Christen says.

"What song was that?" Tobin asks.

"La Bohème by Charles Aznavour." Tierna says. "The second song she sings always remains the same."

"First and third always change." Andi says.

"So Katana doesn't have a problem singing?" Kelley asks.

"She won't sing on command if you ask, but she loves to sing." Andi says.

"And you definitely shouldn't ask." Talia says.

"I mean she did get a masters degree in music." I say then all of us wait patiently as Katana finishes her post-training tradition.

I could hardly believe it, when I heard the news today
I had to come and get it straight from you
They said you were leavin', someone's swept your heart away
From the look upon your face I see it's true

So tell me all about it, tell me 'bout the plans you're makin'
Oh, then tell me one thing more before I go

Tell me, how am I supposed to live without you?
Now that I've been loving you so long
How am I supposed to live without you
And how am I supposed to carry on?
When all that I've been livin' for is gone

I'm too proud for cryin', didn't come here to break down
It's just a dream of mine is coming to an end
And how can I blame you when I built my world around
The hope that one day we'd be so much more than friends?

I don't wanna know the price I'm gonna pay for dreaming, oh
Even now it's more than I can take

Tell me, how am I supposed to live without you?
Now that I've been loving you so long
How am I supposed to live without you
And how am I supposed to carry on?
When all that I've been livin' for is gone

Now I don't wanna know the price I'm gonna pay for dreaming
Oh, now that your dream has come true

Tell me, how am I supposed to live without you?
Now that I've been lovin' you so long
How am I supposed to live without you
And how am I supposed to carry on?
When all that I've been livin' for is gone

"Well that has a deeper meaning than the original song." Christen says then a bunch of us nod in agreement.

When Katana finishes her tradition, she comes over, wordlessly changes out of her gloves and boots, then she and her service dogs walk to the bus.

"Alright ladies." Cairo says. "Let's get going."
