A letter is never ill-timed; it never interrupts.
Instead it waits for us to find the opportune minute, the quiet moment to savor the message.

"What is?" I ask as I look at the Lyon Line-up as we approach Wembley Stadium

"We're out of a job after this." Katie says.
A week ago, after the FA Cup, it was made public that women's football is blowing up in Europe.
All the leagues are shutting down because the different country FA's want to keep their mens leagues alive now that the Super League is gaining ground.
Tonight's champions league final will be the last Women's UEFA club competition for the foreseeable future.
Side note I didn't play in any FA Cup game because our manager played Chiamaka Nnadozie and we won the whole thing which is cool.
"We'll be okay." Talia says causing everyone to look at her. "Just trust me."
"WE'RE HERE." One of the coaches says from the front of the bus.
Once at Wembley Stadium, the bus parks then everyone gets off and heads to the locker room.
When we get to the locker room, everyone puts their stuff down in their respective lockers.
Once my stuff is in my locker, my teammates and I head outside for the pitch inspection.
After we've inspected the pitch, my teammates and I head back to the locker room.
When I get to my locker I take my AirPods out, I take out my nose ring, I take off my necklaces, earrings, bracelet, watch, and my rings, put my jewelry in it's safe then I put my jewelry safe and AirPods in my bag.
Once I'm jewelry free I take off my tracksuit and put my dark brown locs up in a ponytail then I put on my short sleeve baby blue undershirt, my warm up top, and I put on my game shorts.
I then sit down in my locker and put on my socks, my shin pads and my red boots.
After my boots are on I tape my wrists, hands, and fingers then I put on my red keeper gloves before I head onto the field with the other keepers.
When I get on the pitch I run through my warm ups with the keepers for a while then head back to the locker room.
Once in the locker room I change out of the training top and change into my baby blue keeper jersey while Amaka does her last minute talks.
When the last minute talks end, we are told to head to the tunnel so I grab my towel and water bottle then Appa, Socks, and I do as told.
Once in the tunnel, I line-up right behind Talia then I wait for us to be called out.
Minutes later we are told to head out onto the field for the prematch stuff so I follow Talia out onto the field.
Once on the field we stand in line for a few seconds then we shake hands with the Lyon players.
After we shake hands, we take a starting XI picture, Talia does the coin toss, we do our team huddle, then I lead Appa and Socks to the bench.
"Stay here pups." I say
Appa and Socks yip and smile at me so I scratch their heads then I jog to my position on the field.
Once I'm at my goal, I hang my towel up on the net, put my water in the net then Mapi and Tierna come over and fist bump me before they head to their spots.
"LET'S GO GIRLS." Someone on the bench shouts. "LET'S FUCKING GO."

"BACK TO BACK TREBLE." Katie shouts as she jumps on me after the final whistle blows signaling we've won the Champions league.
We won the League, FA Cup, and Champions League this year and last year.
We won 3-1 thanks to a hat trick performance from Talia.
The goal I gave up was off a deflection
"KIT-KAT." Jordan shouts then she jumps on me.
"Why y'all always gotta jump on me?" I tease
"Cause you're tall and strong." Jordan says.
I chuckle as I set Jordan down then we hug our teammates.
After I hug my teammates, I shake hands with the Lyon players.
"Meanie." Catarina says as I hug her.
"Sorry." I say. "I'll buy you lunch in Denver to make it up."
"I guess that'll do." Catarina says.
I chuckle then I Catarina and I break our hug and continue on our way.
After I finish shaking hands with the Lyon players, I take off my gloves and put them in my waistband then grab my water bottle and towel out of the goal and head to our bench.
"Well hello boys." I say with a smile as I get to the bench. "Wanna race?"
My doggies woof so we race into the tunnel and to our locker room.
Once in the locker room I put my gloves, water bottle, and towel in my locker then my doggies and I race back onto the field.
"Well that's no fair." I say after my dogs beat me back to the field. "You two have four legs and I only have 2."
My doggies smile at me causing me to smile and rub their heads then we head over to the Arsenal ladies.
When we get to the Arsenal ladies, I notice the president of UEFA climbing onto the podium.
"HEY ČEFERIN." I shout causing the UEFA President to look towards me. "I'D FUCK OFF IF I WERE YOU."
"NOBODY FUCKING LIKES YOU." One of the Lyon ladies shouts.
We almost didn't play today's game in protest of Women's football being blown up.
"IN FACT JUST FUCKING RESIGN." Katie McCabe shouts then both the Arsenal and Lyon players give the president of UEFA the middle finger.
Thankfully the president of UEFA heads our warning and fucks off then the Lyon ladies go and get their runners up medals.
"You know we won right?" Talia whispers to me making me smile.
"I do." I whisper.
"And you know what that means right?" Talia questions.
It means later tonight Talia and Emma are gonna be balls deep inside me.
"That I do Talia." I say with a smile. "That I do."
