Katana's POV

"...That's all I have for you today class." I say as I look at the college students sitting in front of me in my class room.

Ever since I retired from club football after the 2031 World Cup, I've taught at the University of Colorado Boulder, which is only a 30 minute drive from Mikaela and I's Home.

I only teach on Tuesdays and Thursday's and I teach two classes each semester, a 9:30 AM-11:00 AM class and a 12:30 PM-2:00 PM class.

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday do stuff for my other buisness and I work at my tattoo shop.

After Mikaela and I moved from London to Denver in 2024, I closed the London branch of Double O's Tattoo's and moved it and all the artists to Denver and we've been going strong ever since.

I also still put out music, but the only concerts I have are monthly one's at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

During the fall semester my 9:30 AM-11:00 AM class is a class called the History of Southern Africa and my 12:30 PM-2:00 PM class is a class called African Peoples and Empires in World History.

During the spring semester my 9:30 AM-11:00 AM class is a class called the History of Southern Africa and my 12:30 PM-2:00 PM class is a class called Slavery in the United States.

The class I teach that is called History of Southern Africa is a course that examines the history of southern Africa history from the earliest times to the present. Topics of study include Cecil Rhodes and the diamond/gold mines; Shaka and the Zulu "nation"; apartheid; Nelson Mandela and the antiapartheid movement; issues facing South Africa today.

The class I teach that is called African Peoples and Empires in World History is a course that focuses on African world history, empire building, and commercial and cultural links across the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean worlds before and during the Atlantic slave trade.

The class I teach that is called Slavery in the United States is a course that covers the African American experience in slavery, focusing on the rise of the slave trade, slavery in the colonial and antebellum eras, the Civil War, and abolition.

To take my Slavery in the United States class, you have to take and pass my African Peoples and Empires in World History class, but nobodies ever failed any of my classes.

I fucking love teaching.

"Remember we have a test on Tuesday so don't forget your notes and your computer because we don't want a repeat of last time." I say then I look at the reason I have to make this announcement. "Esteban."

"Wow." Esteban says as everyone chuckles then I put on my suit jacket.

"Any questions?" I ask.

"Uh when did a presidential candidate get here?" Marisol asks.

"Huh?" I say then I look to where Marisol is pointing. "When'd you all get here?"

My two best friends and their families, my sisters and their families, and my family are sitting in the back of the Class room.

Emma's running for President with Christen as her running mate.

"The last twenty minutes." Sahara says as I look at my friends and Family.

The high school Emma created is playing a local Denver team in a three game baseball series this weekend, the second weekend in March of 2036, so my friends and family came to watch and hang out.

"Ooh I'm oblivious." I say then I chuckle and look at my students. "You all are free to leave, if you have anything you need help with then text me, and I'll see you next week on Tuesday."
