Katana's POV

"You're so lucky we have to be somewhere." I say as my nude girlfriend walks out of our bathroom in our suite.

"Why Kit-Kat?" My girlfriend says as she sits down in my lap.

"Because you look so fucking fine." I say. "And if it we're up to me, we'd make love until everyone in the hotel knew who makes you feel good and you'd have to buy new make up just to cover up all the marks I'd leave."

"Katana." Mikaela whines. "You can't just say that then not do it."

"Oh trust me princess." I say as I wrap my arms around my girlfriend. "Before the year is up, we will fuck for days on end and I'll mark you up so everyone knows that Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin is my girlfriend."

"I'm holding you to that." My skier says.

"I hope you do." I say then I smack Mikaela's ass. "Go get dressed."

"Fine." Mikaela playfully groans then she gets off my lap and gets dressed.

After Mikaela's dressed, we put on our jewelry, harness up the dogs, then we grab our phones, wallets, and keys before we leave our suite and head downstairs to meet the rest of the team.

Tonight, we're going to the Toronto Maple Leafs v Chicago Blackhawks game.

I hope Toronto beats the fuck out of Chicago.

When we get down to the lobby of the hotel, we meet up with the team.

Once everyone is in the lobby, we split up into groups then we get into the rental cards and head to the Maple Leafs arena.

"Oh my god." Crystal says from the front of the car. "Katana you're on the radio."

"I am." I say when I hear the intro to my song Impossible then our car sits in silence as the song plays.

"Okay you just don't miss." Crystal says.

I chuckle then I lean into Mikaela.

"That songs about you." I whisper

"So I've been told." My girlfriend whispers with a smile as I snuggle into her.

"Love you." I say.

"I love you too Katana." My girlfriend softly says. "I love you too."

"Well that was a fun game." I say as I hand my water bottle to Talia.

"I've always wanted to play in snow." Talia says then she drinks some water while I take off my gloves.

We just got done playing our second game against Canada and we won 1-0 thanks to Talia.

"Same." I say as I see Emma, Shadow, Appa, and Socks coming over.

"Here you two." Emma says then she throws me and Talia towels. "Dry off your hair."

"Is it bad?" Talia ask as she and I dry off our hair.

"No." Emma says. "But the tunnels warm as hell so it'd melt rather quickly which wouldn't be fun."

"Not at all." Talia says then she looks at me. "Hey you okay?"

"You have been kinda quiet lately." Emma says causing me to sigh and look at my friends I've known for a really long time.

I've known Talia for a long time since we played on youth national teams together and I've known Emma for a long time since she was on the team when my mother was on the team.

"A week or so ago, I floated around the idea of marriage to Mikaela and she basically said she'd love to be married." I say.

"That's great Katana." Emma says, but I stay quiet. "Okay maybe it's not great."

"What's wrong?" Talia asks.

"Well we've only been together for four months." I say. "And I'm kinda nervous what people will say about me and Mikaela getting engaged and married only a year after my wife and son we're murdered."

"First off fuck what people think." Emma says. "Their opinions don't matter."

"I know that." I say. "But Mikaela doesn't deserve to go through that after all the shit she's had to endure this year."

"And neither do you." Talia says. "But unfortunately there are cunts out there who think their opinions on our lives matter."

"Plus Mikaela's stronger than you think." Emma says.

"And who cares if you and Mikaela only date for four months before you get engaged?" Talia asks. "You waited about the same time with Oksana."

Oksana and I got engaged after only six months of dating, but we waited a couple years to get married because Oksana got pregnant and I didn't have the money to give Oksana the wedding of her dreams.

I know six months is very short time to date before getting engaged, but I knew from the moment I met Oksana in our college dorm room that I was gonna marry her.

"The same feelings I had before I proposed to Oksana, I'm having right now with Mikaela." I admit.

"Then I think you know what you need to do Katana." Talia says.

"Yeah." I say. "Yeah I do."
