Mikaela's POV

"Now." Katana says. "On to song 8."

I can't believe this concerts almost over.

"Just like the last song, I have no clue who the letter was meant for, but the song turned out great so it's on the album." Katana says. "And if I figure out who the letter was meant for I'll post that info to social media."

Katana wrote around 500 letters to Oksana alone so I'm not surprised she can't remember which letter went to who.

Oksana, on the other hand, wrote at least five thousand letters to Katana in the years they were together.

Oksana wrote me around 400 while we knew each other.

"This song is called Don't Get Me Wrong. "Katana says then she and her bandmates start playing.

A couple seconds later Katana starts singing.

Pray silence, I'm begging
Too tired to tell you I ain't coming home
Stop for a second
Guess I got caught up in leading you on
And I ain't responsible for the lump in your throat

Haven't you had enough of all of this?
Haven't you had enough of loneliness?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to stay too long
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to tell you whatever you want
But haven't you had enough of loneliness?
And haven't we had enough of second best?
Don't get me wrong

Innocent then, way back before we knew how to pretend
Picking up where we left
It ain't meant to be easy, shouldn't be hard as this
And I ain't responsible for letting this go

Haven't you had enough of all of this?
Haven't you had enough of loneliness?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to stay too long
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to tell you whatever you want
But haven't you had enough of loneliness?
And haven't we had enough of second best?
Don't get me wrong
Don't get me wrong

I just don't wanna be the devil, you know
It hurts the most when you come too close

So, don't get me wrong, I'd love to stay too long
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to tell you whatever you want
But haven't you had enough of loneliness?
Haven't we had enough of second best?
Don't get me wrong

Maybe the letter that song was about was written during a rough patch Oksana and Katana had.

"This next one is based on a letter I wrote during the Christmas break my freshman year at Stanford." Katana says. "I went to LA with Aurora to visit Sahara at Christmas and Oksana went to her home in Ukraine and Oksana said I could go with her, but I didn't wanna intrude since we'd only been dating a few months."

Oksana told her parents she was pregnant on that trip so it might have been a double edged sword if Katana went.

It woulda been good for Oksana's parents to meet the other parent of their grand baby, but probably bad to meet Katana for the the first time when they're finding out their daughter's pregnant.

"During the break I ended up writing a letter to Oksana saying I'd wished I'd gone with her to Ukraine." Katana says.

"I see how it is." Sahara says with a smirk.
