A letter is never ill-timed; it never interrupts.
Instead it waits for us to find the opportune minute, the quiet moment to savor the message.
There is an element of timelessness about letter writing.

"Remind me not to get into the fashion world." Emma says as we ride to one of the Paris 2024 Olympic venues.
The national team and I are in Paris ahead of our first friendly of the April window which is against France.
I tried not to come to this, but Mikaela told me to and that her mom would be in London with her so she'd be okay.
"Why?" I ask as I look up from my phone.
"You had to explain your emotions from your fashion show." Emma says. "That's fucked.
Since my fashion show was live-streamed, the world saw me cry during the last song and a bunch of people called me a pussy and other shit like that for showing my emotions.
I hate social media.
After I saw all the shit I was getting, I put out a statement saying that I thought I would be able to get through the last song, but I didn't and if me being sad and upset my wife and son we're murdered makes me a pussy than so be it.
"Unfortunately that's how the world works." I say then I look back down at my phone and look at the update Champions League Bracket.

"Hey Katana?" Ashley Sanchez asks from a few rows in front of me.
"Yes?" I say.
"This new song called How Do I Say Goodbye." Ashley says. "Will it make me cry?"
While we've been traveling to the different Olympic venues, my teammates have had my music on shuffle.
"It's been out since my birthday so it's not really new, but yeah it possibly will." I say.
Ashley shrugs then she plays the song.
Early morning There's a message on my phone It's my mother saying, "Darling, please come home" I fear the worst But how could you leave us all behind There's so much to say but there's so little time
