Katana's POV
"I hate people." I say as I lock my phone.
"What happened?" Cairo asks.
"I'm getting s-h-i-t online for being a billionaire." I say. "It's not my fault my business make money."
Apparently I'm the devil because I'm the richest woman alive.
"I mean what do people want me to do?" I question. "Give more of my money away than I already do?"
I gave away over 10 billion dollars last year.
Maybe I should start making my donations public.
"People just love to drum up problems Kit-Kat." Sam says as the bus we're on makes a left turn.
We're in Paris ahead of our second group game and the national team staff and players and our significant others are gonna go watch the US men's basketball team play Slovenia in their first group game.
Maeve and Nour are spending the night with Mikaela's Mom.
"Yeah." I say.
"Kit-Kat you have a new song out?" Rose asks
"I have two new one's out." I say as I adjust my hold on Mikaela.
"What's this one called?" Rose says then she plays one of my new songs.
"It's called Golden Hour." I say then we all listen to the song.
It was just two lovers
Sittin' in the car, listening to Blonde, fallin' for each other
Pink and orange skies, feelin' super childish, no Donald Glover
Missed call from my mother
Like, "Where you at tonight?"
Got no alibi, I was all aloneWith the love of my life
She's got glitter for skin
My radiant beam in the night
I don't need no light to see youShine
It's your golden hour
You slow down time
In your golden hourWe were just two lovers
Feet up on the dash, drivin' nowhere fast, burnin' through the summer
Radio on blast, make the moment last, she got solar power
Minutes feel like hours
She knew she was the baddest
Can you even imagine fallin' like I did?For the love of my life
She's got glow on her face
A glorious look in her eyes
My angel of lightI was all alone with the love of my life
She's got glitter for skin
My radiant beam in the night
I don't need no light to see youShine
It's your golden hour
You slow down time
In your golden hour"Girl you don't miss." Someone on the bus says.
"What about this one?" Rose says as she plays the next song.
I swear the names of the songs are on her phone.
"It's called Pointless." I say then we all listen to the song.
I bring her coffee in the morning
She brings me inner peace
I take her out to fancy restaurants
She takes the sadness out of me
I make her cards on her birthday
She makes me a better woman
I take her water when she's thirsty
She takes me as I am

FanfictionA letter is never ill-timed; it never interrupts. Instead it waits for us to find the opportune minute, the quiet moment to savor the message. There is an element of timelessness about letter writing. -Lois Wyse
