Mikaela's POV
"So how much shit have you two been getting for kneeling for the anthem?" Sahara asks as we wait for the graduation ceremony to begin.
Today Katana graduates with her PhD in history from the University of Bristol.
"Not as much as I thought." I admit.
When the American anthem was played last weekend after I won the slalom race in Finland and Skye got second, myself and Skye kneeled during the anthem.
"We got some, but a lot less than we expected." Skye says.
"Well that's good." Aurora says as she reads the program.
"I wonder where everyone else is." Skye says.
Katana was only able to get four tickets to her graduation which she was fine with considering she thought nobody besides me, Sahara, Aurora, and Skye would want to come.
Unbeknownst to my girlfriend, all of her national team teammates and coaches, all of her Arsenal teammates, and a few friends from other London clubs are here to watch her graduate and be at her graduation party.
Sahara and Aurora rented out a local night club for the graduation party
"In one of the buildings on campus, they're showing the ceremony on a big screen." Aurora says.
"Oh." I say as music starts.
After the music starts all the graduates from the Faculty of Arts here at the University of Bristol walk into the Great Hall.
I think Faculty of Arts is the same thing as the Department of Arts that American universities use.
As the graduates are walking in, I look at my fine ass girlfriend then I look at what she's wearing.
Katana's wearing a scarlet gown with a dark violet facing, sleeves and hood lining.
I still don't understand how Katana makes a graduation gown look hot as hell.
Once all the graduates have walked in, they sit down then the ceremony begins.
After the graduates are sat down, the staff enter the great hall and sit down then the awarding of degrees begins.
First is the bachelors degrees, followed by Masters degrees, then Doctorates.
Myself, Sahara, Aurora, and Skye sit in relative silence as we wait for our favorite Keeper to be called.
"The Degree of Doctor of History." The graduation announcer says.
"Finally." Aurora says then we wait for my girlfriend to be called.
"Katana Solo." The graduation announcer says then Katana walks onto the stage so we clap as Katana, Appa, and Socks walk across stage.
We were told by multiple people to just clap during the ceremony
Once Katana gets to who I assume is the Dean of the college, the two of them bow to each other then Katana walks off stage with Appa and Socks.
After Katana and the pups walk off stage and sit down, I kinda tune out the rest of the ceremony.
"Think Katana will try for another degree?" Skye asks as we walk out of the Great Hall after the ceremony.
"I don't know." I say. "I don't know what else she'd study for."
"I think she's done." Sahara says. "She's proved her smarts to our mother."
"I still can't believe Hope actually said that to her." Skye says.
"Hope's always been that way." Aurora says.
"We just had to deal with it for 18 years cause she's our mother." Sahara says.
I've never met Hope and with the stories I've heard of her I hope I never do.
"Enough about that." Aurora says. "I see Kit-Kat."
"Where?" Sahara asks.
"Hello." Katana says as she approaches.
Aurora squeals then she jumps on her sister.
"Hi Kit-Kat." Aurora says.
"Hey Rory." Katana says as she hugs her youngest sister.
"Well don't hog her." Sahara says then she hugs Katana.
I don't think I've ever seen siblings as close as Katana and her sisters are.
After Katana hugs her sisters, she hugs Skye, then she hugs me.
"Hi Baby." Katana says with a smile.
"Hi Dr. Solo." I say with a smile.
Katana chuckles then I kiss my girlfriend as we hug.
After I kiss my girlfriend, I put my head into Katana's neck.
"I'm so proud of you." I whisper. "And I know they are two."
"Thanks." Katana mumbles.
"There's my favorite Doctor." I hear Emma Harris say then I pull out of the hug, but I keep an arm wrapped around her.
"What are you all doing here?" Katana asks as she looks at the large group of people who came to watch her graduate.
"Oh like we'd miss this." Crystal says causing a smile to appear on Katana's face.
"Go." I say then I pat Katana's ass. "Ooh that's fat."
Katana chuckles then she walks over to the large group of people who came to watch her graduate and hugs them.
After Katana hugs everyone, Emma takes pictures of everyone with Katana.
"Alright people." Aurora says. "We have an hour before we need to be at the party so let's move it back to the hotel."
"Party?" Katana asks.
"Graduation Party." Sahara says.
"Really?" Katana asks.
"Well we gotta celebrate you becoming a doctor." Kim Little says.
Katana shyly smiles then all of us walk to the hotel.
Sahara and Aurora found a hotel a couple blocks from the university and they paid for a couple floors to be blocked off for everyone to stay in.
The hotel is also only 15 minute walk to the night club we're gonna party at.
When we get to the hotel, Katana, the pups, and I head up to our room to get changed.
Once in our bedroom, I wait for Katana to take off her graduation gown then I pounce on my suit wearing girlfriend and pin her to the bed.
"Oof." Katana says as her back hits the mattress.
"Hi." I say with a smile.
"Hello Future Mrs. Solo." My girlfriend says.
I fucking love hearing Katana call me that.
"I need you to keep your arms where they are." I say.
Katana nods then I take off my red dress leaving me fully nude.
"I have died and gone to heaven." Katana says.
"No baby." I say with a seductive tone as I move Katana's hands to my boobs. "It's 100 percent real."
"So not fair." Katana mumbles.
"And after your party Dr. Solo, maybe I can show you just how real this is." I say.
"Or." My girlfriend says. "We can forget the party and..."
"No party no pussy." I say.
"Meanie."
"Come on Katana." I say with a smile. "Let's get ready to party."
