(Y/N)'s pov
(Y/N): "Those hybrids are bastards to fight but too many faunus have died already." I said staring at one of the images in front of me, my eyes fixated on a child with dust-burns on his face.
Salem: "You take some of that personally don't you?" I nodded but my gaze remained unbroken.
Cinder: "I was there with you that day, we both did everything we could to stop them."
Sure she wasn't wrong but neither was I. If my only interaction with faunus was that day then it could be said I did nothing but my best, but that wasn't the truth. The full story was that I was one of the leading causes in the mass migration into Menagerie.
I basically killed them so much they had to leave!
How could I possibly not feel responsible?!
(Y/N): "I helped put them on that damn island the least I can do is help them keep it." I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. "If you walked up to me a few years ago and told me I'd be helping faunus take back Menagerie I'd say you were crazy."
Cinder: "By this point I think we all know too well that you're the crazy one."
I was unsure how to respond. I mean... she was right, but you'd have to be a blind man not to see the crazy in her eyes. The best response my brain could conjure up was to just shrug.
Salem: "We'll all need quite a bit of crazy for what we're trying to do." Just fighting against the worlds military superpower, one of the sanest things I've done honestly. "It's going to take a few days before we have everything ready. Until then do what you need to, but please try not to get another limb shot off."
(Y/N): "Yeah, it's really weird how often that happens to me."
Cinder: "Last time we went to Menagerie you lost so much blood you passed out."
Salem: "Didn't they find you nearly cut in half?" I threw my arms up in the most exaggerated way possible.
(Y/N): "I get it! I get it!"
(Y/N), Cinder, & Salem: "I/You need to learn to dodge."
I'd never been more offended in my life. Not only were they telling me I'm bad at dodging, which is basically the ENTIRE FUCKING POINT of my semblance! They also manage to predict exactly what I was going to say!
I laughed along with them at the absurdity of it all but was I really that bad at dodging? I mean... I do get fucked up alot.
Shit.
They're right.
(Y/N): "Alright well I'm gonna go practice dodging." I said sarcastically as I walked towards the door.
Cinder: "Please don't we really can't spare another leg!" I didn't look back, just kept walking while putting my middle finger up as a goodbye wave.
If things went well then I wouldn't need to dodge anything where I was going but we all know how often things go to plan. I'd need to find Raven though. Oum knows how I'd get out of here otherwise.
As I continued down the hall I could hear the familiar *click clack* of heels getting closer.
Cinder: "Salem wanted me to find out where you're actually going." She looked up at me with concern. "Don't tell me you're actually going to pick a fight." I shook my head.
(Y/N): "No I'm not looking for a fight but I'll need my weapons just in case." She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Also where's Raven?" She stared at me like a mother tired of her son's antics.
