Chapter 44

Ruby pov

Ruby: "I need to ask you something..." He stood there, towering over me and freshly showered, causing my heart to skip a beat at the sight. "DOYOUWANNAGOOUTWITHME!"

Oh my Oum! Why did I actually say it!? I felt my body shake in anticipation of his answer. To nervous to even keep my eyes opened, I closed them with my head facing the ground. My heart pounded at the silence, expecting to hear the voice of my crush politely rejecting me. But the voice I heard wasn't (y/N)'s at all. 

???: "What's going on over here?" A deeper female voice spoke. 

I opened my eyes, revealing bigger scarier Weiss standing behind (Y/N). I audibly yelped at the unexpected appearance of the intimidating woman. 

(Y/N): "Ruby just asked me out." What, why is he selling me out!? 

Winter moved from behind (Y/N), staring me down with a deadpan expression as she got closer and closer. I stepped back until I hit the wall, unable to move away any more I accepted the inevitable. Winter stopped about a foot away from me, close enough that I could feel her body heat. 

As she looked me up and down her deadpan expression was replace with a mischievous smile. (Y/N) let out a chuckle and Winter moved a comfortable distance away from me. 

(Y/N): "Stop messing with the poor girl Winter." 

Winter: "C'mon, if I have to share you with all these girls the least I can do is mess with them a little." She stood by (Y/N)'s side, her head leaning on his shoulder. "As for you!" She said while pointing right at me. "We'll need to go on a date first to make sure you're girlfriend material." 

To say I was confused by this whole situation would be the understatement of the century, I was absolutely bamboozled. 

(Y/N): "Vale in an hour?" He said while looking back and forth between me and Winter. Unable to bring myself to make words I just nodded. 

Winter: "We can go back to that one restaurant again, the one we had our first date on." 

(Y/N): "Hell yeah! That steak I got last time was amazing!" (Y/N) turned back to me. "That sound good Ruby?" 

Still unable to speak from the shock and excitement from this whole situation I just gave a smile and nodded, trying to maintain composure. 

(Y/N): "Alright we'll get ready then grab you from your dorm." 

I stood in the hallway for a minute after the door closed, stuck in my thoughts, before entering my own dorm in silence. As I entered Weiss stood up from her bed. 

Weiss: "So what'd he say?" For the first time since the conversation started my mind ACTUALLY processed what just happened. 

I let out a noise that could only be described as a high pitched squeak of joy while jumping up and down and flailing my arms. From Weiss' perspective I must've looked like I was mimicking an injured bird but I didn't care!  

Weiss: "I'll assume that's good and I don't need to go to the infirmary again today." 

Ruby: "We're going on a date!" Weiss seemed unsurprised and started sitting back on her bed. "Well not just us... but still?" That seemed to get her attention as she froze mid seat. 

Weiss: "What do you mean?" 

Ruby: "Well I went to confess to him like you said to, but when I asked him out your sister..." She cut me off mid sentence. 

Weiss: "Winter's here?!" She shot up out of her bed and moved towards me with terrifying speed, grabbing me by my shoulders. "Is Winter here!?" She shook me while waiting for an answer.
