Chapter 3

(Y/N) Pov

This roller coaster of day just keeps fuckin' going.

Winter was staring at me. She was no longer the confident specialist I knew, her once bright eyes were now full of fear and doubt. She stood in place struggling to keep eye contact while fidgeting with her hands. In the few moments she made eye contact I could see her tearing up.

I never even considered Winter could have a crush on me, let alone full on love! But the way she was standing in front of me, the way I felt when I got to talk to her after a long day, I know what my answer has to be. I took gently held both her hands and moved close to her.

(Y/N): "Don't think, even for a second, that i'm gonna say anything besides I love you to." She looked up at me and started crying. "Umm... was that not the right answer." She hugged me tight and cried into my chest.

Winter: "That was the best answer I could've ever asked for." She said between sobs. I hugged her back, lifting her off the ground in excitement causing her to let out a cute squeak. I spun around with her in my arms before setting her down, we held each others hands as we laughed for a minute. 

(Y/N): "So any chance my new, beautiful, girlfriend would be interested in going out tonight?" Her eyes lit up and she had a smile that could melt all of Atlas. "I'm gonna take that cute look on your face as a yes." She blushed slightly before answering.

Winter: "I would love to. Meet back here in an hour?" I nodded, i'm glad she gave me time to get ready. I could pass for a lazy day but I was in no way prepared for a first date. I said see you soon and started to walk away. "Oh and one more thing!" She walked up to me, before pulling me in and giving me a quick peck on the lips. I didn't think it was possible but now I was the blushing mess. "How's that for a cute look on your face?" She walked off, leaving me to process what just happened.

She wasn't done teasing me, as she walked away she, very clearly, added extra sway to her hips. After stopping and getting a good look at the view I started jogging to my dorm to get ready.  

Winter Pov

Once I was out of view of (Y/N) I had to stop and lean on a wall to support myself. I was ecstatic, the plan actually worked! I didn't expect him to actually say yes! And I kissed him!

Oh my Oum, I KISSED him!

I could feel my heart beating through my chest and my face heat up at I remembered the situation that just happened. I need to thank Weiss, her advice actually worked. I started walking towards the cafeteria, I hope Weiss and her team are still there.

Weiss Pov

Weiss: "For the last time Ruby! (Y/N) didn't call you fat he was just surprised that you eat so many cookies!" I had just spent the last hour trying to console Ruby after (Y/N) made the comment about her "interesting" choice in meals. Yang and Blake had given up simply telling me to take care of her because she's my partner. "If it's such a problem then why not just start eating healthier?" She looked genuinely offended.

Ruby: "How dare you suggest such a thing! I could never abandon my love for cookies!" I was banging my head against the table and groaning out of pure annoyance. "I know! I'll just make him some cookies so that he can learn to appreciate them as much as I do!" 

Weiss: "You go ahead and do that Ruby." She can handle herself, I'm done with this conversation. However as she stood up I noticed that Winter walked into the cafeteria. "Oh hey sis, how did things go?" I noticed the smile on her face and had my answer.

Winter: "He said yes!" She was nearly jumping around. I could see my team start to quietly get interested in the conversation. "We have a date later!" I was happy for her, but a little part of me was disappointed that it wasn't me going on that date. "Oh i'm sorry I haven't been introduced to your team."
