Welcome to the third run of The Pink Alpaca Reviews! The first and second one were such a blast and I was able to read some of the best stories on Wattpad.
For those wondering what the hell happened, here's the run-down: I split the requests I got for PAR's 2021 opening because there's a lot. So now, I am only reading what's left of that batch which are mostly long novels and series. Good luck to me! xD
The review mechanics will be the same as I have for 2021. I fear that I won't be able to do the same thing I did in the 2020 run because 1) It's really time-consuming to write that much of a detailed review (each one takes me about an hour!) and 2) It's really not a good rubric if you ask me.
We will only have three areas:
What I loved. This is the first area where I will tell you what I loved about your work. It can span any aspect of your story and I will tell you why I loved them. This is the fanbying area. xD
What didn't work. This is the area where I tell you what went wrong in your story, at least from my point of view as a reader. This is the area of the complaints about anything that I found in your story.
What to improve. This is the section where I point out things that are not necessarily bad but could use a bit of improvement. This is also an avenue for me to suggest ways to improve your work as a writer, this time.
Final verdict. This area is where the ratings are said and the final impressions about your story. Kind of like a conclusion thingy. My scale is 1-10 and I'll always provide enough justifications for it. DW, I don't give scores lower than 6! (the secret is out, I guess. xD)
Also, all the elements I did from the previous review runs are still gonna be incorporated into this rubric. Just that they are not going to be given separate subsections anymore.
PS. If you have questions about anything, please go to the sister book titled "pink alpaca reads" and there is a section there called "Got Questions?". Ask your questions there because questions asked anywhere else in this book will not be entertained.
First off, thanks to Kana for inspiring me to do this! You are still going to be mentioned every time I do the succeeding runs! This is your original idea and I liked it! For that, thank you!
Thank you also to the wonderful writers who have made this project a blast by submitting their works. Thank you and I hope that I am going to have fun with your works as I read them!
Finally, thanks to my online family, the numerous servers I joined, and for you, random reader, who might have stumbled into this review book. I don't promise reading reccos but you can sure find some gems in this lot!
So, with that, I officially kick the doors to the Pink Alpaca Reads and Reviews open! Good luck to me and to you, as well! <3
