The First Gift by AziaElga
What I loved: I loved the overall premise of this story, the worldbuilding, and even the characters. The plot is astounding as it is connected to both character motivation and the world in which they live in. The pacing posed a bit of a problem with its non-linearity but it works well with this story that it told it and brought about the appropriate emotions quite well. I love the nature of the ending (I won't spoil) but it's sad. Really sad. ;-;
What didn't work: Nothing, really. It's pretty solid work and I couldn't have asked for more. :))
What to improve: There are bits of pronoun vagueness that we really can't avoid in our lifetime, Nothing a few line edits wouldn't fix. The scene painting needs a bit of improvement as well to fully bring about your local settings out of the page and into the readers' imaginations. Other than that, I'll say this story is quite perfect.
Final verdict: 10/10 on my scale. I looooove everything. It's gritty, angsty, and tragic. My perfect combo any time of the day. uwu. Keep shining, Wei! I look forward to your future stories. :))
