Ashes to Ashes by eternitea40
What I loved: I love how this collection has the courage to address the stuff that it did. Things like womanhood, equality, racial violence, environmentalism, and self-image and society's role in it. I love, love, love the poet's take on stuff like this and it makes me glad that there are still people who use their platform to speak about these things. What really struck me the most was how mathematical concepts were used to relate the struggle to obtain a "perfect" body and I teared up a little considering I'm studying most of the concepts for uni atm and I couldn't relate more. ;-; All the other poems are equally thought-provoking with a hint of sadness at how things turned out for our society. This is god-level poetry, right here. I love, love, love EVERYTHING. *screams*
What didn't work: Nothing. Like the poet's past works I reviewed, this is just perfect.
What to improve: See answers above. ^-^
Final verdict: This is a solid 10/10 on my scale. The themes, symbolisms, and the poetry involved are some things that I really, really get to connect to and that made this collection entirely enjoyable. Keep writing and keep speaking your truths. It looks like you've got a lot of that going in you. UWU. After the third story I review from you, I've turned into your super-fan, Sky. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this and exposing me to your works!
