Premise/Summary

In this book, you will find two things-
• Poetry.
• Broken Love.
"Home is where the heart is" that's what we say when it comes to true peace and harmony.

"The pain it flows,
But do I notice?
Do I ever think of the scars you left on me?
Dear world,
I bid you my goodbyes-
When will you return me the apologies?"

Review Proper
A. Introduction

I think that introduction is genius in such a way that it tells us exactly what to find in the book but it hides so much more. I love the poeticness of this introduction so for that, good job!

B. Elements

The poetic voice is audible. It is raw, vulnerable, and generally personal. Imagery and figures of speech are used effectively as the poet is able to compare certain things to feelings and they are also able to build a place in my mind with just poems. Good, good job.

Symbolism is also on point and I do not want to spoil anyone what those were. They are just amazing. uwu. The poems are written in free-verse with loose rhymes on some. I have no qualms about these things because everything was just done well.

C. Themes

The collection tackles a myriad of themes. The things I found were—mental health, love that transcends genders, discrimination and prejudice, the idea of home, lost childhood, and the melancholy of tragedy and missing a place of memories.

I may have not touched all of the other themes but for me, these are what leaped out at me. Good, good job. Very insightful, very personal, and very vulnerable.

D. Emotional Impact

I admire your courage in making this collection, really. The words touched me more than I thought or expected they would. This is why I love reading poetry, not to judge them but to find new insights into the world we live in.

So yeah, the emotional impact is so on point I would not be able to forget this collection, ever. Good, good job!

E. Technicalities

A few typos, wrong past tenses, and punctuation issues. Nothing major nor something that would get in the way of reading. I have a minor nitpick about the formatting, though. It was inconsistent that it made me dizzy for a few parts. Totally forgivable, though!

Over-all Impression

This is a 9/10 on my scale. This is a great collection about love and finding home. Insightful and very, very enjoyable read. Congratulations, Anurima. You are a rising poet. Keep it up! :)
