Jaeje walked into the office the next day, planning on handing over her resignation letter to her boss, wondering how Hyejin would react to her saying she quit after two days, the thought still shocking her herself.

After greeting a few other employees, she finally reached the door of the man who had shown her more trouble than she had experienced in a lifetime.

"Come in" Heeseung's voice spoke out as she walked into the office, remembering her experience with him on her first day, shuddering at the memory of him and the other lady.

"Are you here to finally talk?" he asked, looking up from the file in his hand, raising a brow.

"I'm here to resign" she corrected, tossing the letter on his desk.

"I thought you were someone who was up for a challenge" he said, resting fully on the back of his seat.

"Up for a challenge, not sexual harassments" she responded crossing her arms.

"Don't quit." he told her.

"Excuse me?" she asked taken aback.

"I'm sure you heard me loud and clear, don't quit" he repeated, dropping the file in his hands on the desk before getting up, walking around to meet her.

"What possible excuse or apology could you have for me that would make me stay?" she asked, taking two steps back.

"I'll stop all my advances, no more getting angry at you ignoring them and trying to impress you with any of my previous tricks" he answered, getting a scoff in return.

"And I am meant to believe that? say I forgive you and then throw a smile your way?" she asked again, wondering what the man took her for.

"You don't have to do anything, except not quitting of course, you're a good secretary through and through and you definitely know when to humble me, when it's work time I'll be professional" he replied, his face stern.

"You need a job and I need a secretary, aren't we a perfect match?" he continued.

"No we aren't, if I don't quit, you're free to keep living as you like, just don't include me in it, and I'm serious this time, no more bullshit" she said and he nodded in agreement.

"That's doable" he agreed.

"Gosh I'm going to regret this, don't think I've forgiven you, pull another trick and I'll simply walk away, this is strictly business" she warned and he replied with a chuckle, taking two steps forward so he could lean down towards her face.

"Don't take all I've said the wrong way, I haven't lost interest whatsoever and I won't lie that I have, this is a compromise for both our sakes, you keep your job and I still get to see your face every day, I'm not asking you to forgive me because I'm not sorry"

"Your level of being an ass will never end" Sunghoon comments as he takes a bite out of his food.

"What exactly did you say to make her stay?" he asked Heeseung, both of them were currently out after Heeseung had called to meet up for lunch.

"I agreed to back off, no more sexual advances" he replied making his friend give him a suspicious look.

"Do you actually plan on keeping to that?" Sunghoon questions.

"Yes, I actually do" Heeseung jabbed his fork onto Sunghoon's plate, stealing one of his fries.

"Anyways do you want to head to the club with me tonight?" he continued.

"I'm dropping you as a friend Hyung" Sunghoon said in response.

"Don't be like that, I have to find a way to cheer myself up from this epic fail" Heeseung whined, placing his hand on his chest dramatically.

"Call one of the members of your harem" Sunghoon advised.

"I did, and they're currently having lunch with me" Heeseung winked.

"But I'm serious, go to a spa and get a message or something" his friend suggested.

"Alright alright, how about we go over to Ni-Ki's and watch some anime while drowning in junk food?" Heeseung asked.

"Better" Sunghoon agreed as they continued to eat.

"I just need to rant" Heeseung said as he took another sip out of the wine glass.

"I'm always here when you need me" Chan-mi replied after pouring a glass for herself and taking the seat next to him.

After the small get together at Ni-Ki's place, Heeseung had driven here to clear his mind a bit more, figuring the girl had never denied him access into her house.

"I feel like she doesn't get me you know? when I asked you out, weren't you happy I had shown interest?" Heeseung asked her, wanting advice from a girl's point of view.

"Yes, but then I liked you too and didn't care if it was a fling, some girls want something more genuine, hence why you have the ones that still talk to you like me and the ones that tell you to fuck off like her" Chan-mi tells him, knowing what their little conversation was leading up to.

"I promised I would stop with my advances, but I still like her" he pouted, taking another chug at his wine.

"Well it's your process" Chan-mi tells him.

"Process?" he questions.

"It's simple, you like a girl, you go after her, after a couple dates you lose interest, you end things, that's just how you work, so since you haven't gotten the attention from her that you want, you're still hung up" she answers.

"What do you suggest I do then?" he asks.

"Well you can try to ask her out like a proper human being, or..." she trails off as she stands up, taking the drink out of her hand as Heeseung looks at her in confusion.

"You can focus on other people till it goes away" she tells him, placing the glass on the small table next to them before leaning in to kiss him, the CEO quickly responding.

"It's not the same" he tells her after they break apart.

"Looks like karma has finally caught up with you" she tells him before going in for another kiss. This time he doesn't break it apart as he leans in more, drowning out the part of him that wished it was an entirely different person.

'I should have let her quit, she's completely messing up my mind' he thought.
