It doesn't take long before the cake is finally cut and they can all leave, Jaeje really needs to sleep, really.
She heads out while they take pictures, heading to Heeseung's car to wait. She leans her back on the door and she closes her eyes and let's the cool air wash over her.
"You seem peaceful" Heeseung calls out as he speed walks towards her.
"Never judge a book by its cover" she tells him, shivering a bit.
"You are still cold" he tells her and removes his jacket, swinging it over her shoulders.
"Thank you" she expresses her gratitude and enters the car, leaning back on the seat.
"Let's get you home before you fall asleep" Heeseung says and starts the car.
They drive for a while in silence as Heeseung heads towards her apartment until Heeseung gets a call and connects his phone to the car, picking up.
"Oppa! " Heejin's voice rings through as soon as he connects the call.
"What? " he asks as he hears the panic in her voice.
"Oppa please come home, it's an emergency" Heejin's voice is shaky and it sends the two adults on high alert.
"Okay Heejin, I'm coming ok, just wait for me" there's panic in Heeseung's voice too as he takes a different turn.
"Jaeje I really-" Heeseung tries to tell her.
"It's okay, let's go" Jaeje assures him, also breaking out of her trance at the concerning call.
"Heejin! " Heeseung shouts as he opens the door to his house, heading straight for the living room where he sees Heejin crying in front of his step mum.
"Oppa! " Heejin runs towards him and hugs him around the waist, still crying.
"What's going on? " he asks as he looks to his step mum, who rolls her eyes.
"She's being a drama queen" she tells him and Heeseung turns to his sister.
"Why did you call? " he asks.
"She isn't letting me go out with my friends! " Heejin exclaims.
"Oh my-" Heeseung cuts himself off, covering his face with his hands.
"Umm excuse me, I wanted to give you back your jacket" Jaeje slowly walks in, hoping she isn't interrupting the important family matter.
"You could have returned that later" he tells her as he removes himself from his sniffling sister and goes towards her.
"I wanted you to deal with whatever family problem was going on and take a taxi" she explains.
"No don't do that" Heeseung tells her.
"Who are you? " Heejin asks, her demeanor already changed as she inspects the new girl her brother has brought home.
"I'm Jaeje, his secretary" Jaeje introduces, giving her a shaky smile.
"I'm Heejin, his sister" Heejin introduces as she shakes her hand.
"So back to the matter at hand, Heejin you made it sound like something bad had happened, I was worried" Heeseung scolds her.
"Something bad is happening, she isn't letting me go and my friend moves tomorrow, it's my last day with her" Heejin tells him, a frown on her face.
"Just let her go" Heeseung tells his step mum, wanting to get this over with.
"It's late" she excuses, still not convinced.
"Ma'am if I may, I understand your concern, but if it really is a goodbye party for her friend she should go, even if it's just for an hour" Jaeje buts in, hoping the older woman doesn't take it the wrong way.
