Just as Jaeje expected she had been bombarded with questions from Hyejin as she got home, wanting to tell her what had gone down, but realizing she would have to tell the story from the beginning and that wasn't something she was prepared for, at least for today.
Hyejin had left after a few vague answers from Jaeje to get ready and Jaeje figured she should do the same, getting out of Heejin's clothes to put on a suit.
She was rummaging through her closet when she noticed all her pants were missing.
"Please tell me I did not forget to put them in the wash" she muttered to herself as she looked at her laundry basket, which was of course still full.
"Shit" she swore as she continued to scatter through her closet for even one pair.
"Have you seen my white heels?" Hyejin asks as she walks back into the room.
"No, and I'm kind of in a hiccup" Jaeje answers as she flops down on the bed.
"What is it?" Hyejin asks as she leans on her doorway.
"No office pants" she replies.
"You should have those shorts" Hyejin says as she walks to the closet, picking out a pair.
"Yeah but those are, well, short" she says, going to carry the suit jacket that matched.
"Wear this or a skirt, your choice" Hyejin knows Jaeje's dislikes for skirts, only having them in case of a serious necessity.
"Fine fine" Jaeje takes it and walks into the bathroom.
"And check near the doorway for the shoes" she calls out and closes the door.
Jaeje walks into the office about an hour later, going to greet Nari as she walks up to the receptionist desk.
"One night out with the boss and you seem to be having a bit more confidence, you have legs" Nari teases as she eyes Jaeje up and down.
"Yes I have legs, all my other pants weren't washed" she says."Is he here yet ?" She asks, checking in for the day.
"Not that I'm aware of" Nari answers, giving her a sheepish smile.
"He might have found someone last night, you know? " Nari asks and Jaeje slightly chokes on air.
"I'm sure he did, later" she replies and takes her bag, quickly entering the elevator.
She spends the morning arranging files and sorting through the ones that can be disposed and the ones that are still of use.
She goes behind his desk to look through the shelf behind it, stretching a little to reach the top when the door opened.
"Oh my-" Heeseung cut himself off as he fell on the floor from the shock of seeing Jaeje.
"Your dramatic ass is going to really break something some day" Jaeje rolls her eyes as she turns back to the shelf.
"Well can you blame me, you look amazing" Heeseung shamelessly eyes the exposed legs.
"Thank you, now where were you? " Jaeje asks.
"Here and there, it felt too early for work" Heeseung answers as he goes to help her, reaching for the files as she stills as he comes behind her.
"Thanks" she says once he hands the files over, turning around to see he was as still in her way.
"Can you please move?" She asks, staring him down.
"In a minute" he repeats his words from earlier as he leans down, his hand coming to cup her neck.
"Remember what I said once upon a time?" Jaeje whispers as he draws closer.
"What? " he whispers back, thinking she's about to kiss him.
"Strictly professional in the office! " she exclaims in his face, pressing his lips to the files in her hand.
"Oh come on" he groans as she shoves him away and goes back to her organizing.
"We can make out in a house filled with my family members but not in the privacy of my office? " he asks incredulous.
"I'd be kind of a hypocrite if I kissed you in your office after making it very clear I didn't appreciate other girls doing it, wouldn't I? " she asks, throwing unnecessary papers in the trash.
"I'm not one to talk on hypocrisy, but I have waited too long for this, so a quick peck will do" he sits down and puts his head in his hands, pouting his lips.
"Here's everything you need to look over today, no meetings so you get to relax in your chair the whole day, I have to go ransack some departments for late reports" Jaeje drops as stack of paperwork in front of him and heads out, ignoring his request.
"Look at you~" Aera drawls as Jaeje walks into her department.
"Yeah I know, shorts, can I have those reports now, I'm keeping him busy for the day" Jaeje says as she rolls her eyes.
"How was the date? " Aera asks as she gets up to get the monthly reports.
"Not a date, and it ended well" well as in them making out until they fell asleep, but she was sure that Aera got that.
"I'll squeeze more details out of you during lunch, but here you go" Aera passes over the reports.
"Thank you and you can try" Jaeje says and walks out, into the elevator for the next department.
"Alright I have done every single piece of paperwork and looked over every single department report" Heeseung says as he walks into Jaeje's smaller office, breathing heavily.
"Your office is right beside mine, why are you breathing so heavily? " she asks as she packs up her bag for the day, true to her words all those files had kept him busy the whole day, much to her pleasure.
"I was working with time" he says as strides up from her and wraps his hand around her waist, drawing her closer.
"Can I get something now? " he asks as leans his head down to face her.
"Fine" she sighs and leans up to give him a peck, fulfilling his earlier request.
"Not enough, I want a date" he says, even though he still presses his lips to hers.
"A date? " she asks in between pecks, unlike their previous kisses this is more tamed, the both of them focusing more on the conversation but not wanting to stop either.
"I'll surprise you" he says as they finally part enough for him to talk.
"Fine, and remember" she leans to give him one last kiss.
"Good things happen when I'm happy"
