"Please don't tell me you're always this fancy when going out for lunch" Jaeje says as hey both sit down, eyeing the interior of the restaurant.
"Nope, only when I have someone to impress" he replied, handing her a menu.
"As much as I enjoy the pampering, I am not won over by fancy places, if anything I get stressed, like people will judge me if I eat with my hands" she said, going straight to the meat dishes.
"I think you look cute eating with your hands" he rebutted.
"That means so much to me" she said in her most sarcastic tone.
"But on the plus side, I could get used to this" she shrugged, looking over the menu with pricey dishes.
"The worst part about all these places is that you spend so much money and the food is still crap" he said.
"Exactly, but if that's case why do you still buy it?" She asked.
"Money isn't the problem, it's how to spend it" he shrugged.
"Spoken like a true millionaire " she rolled her eyes.
"OK I know what I want, actually no I don't, wait..." she said, narrowing her eyes.
"Is it that hard to pick something?" He asked, already knowing what he wanted.
"Ugh yes it is, I want so much" she groaned.
"Then get them" he retorted.
"No, I'll just get a steak" she finalised, closing the menu before she could change her mind.
"Fine then" he scoffed, signalling the waiter to come over.
Seeing as the restaurant didn't have much people in it, thier food didn't take long to get there. After a few bites, Heeseung noticed Jaeje was still look at her food, fork and knife in a respective hand.
"Did you change your mind?" He asked.
"No" she said and began cutting the steak, albeit not very good.
Heeseung took in her figure as she continued to eat, noticing how she shifted from time to time and ate as if trying to look proper about it. She was uncomfortable to put it simply.
"Do you wanna go somewhere else? I don't mind" he comforted, not liking the frown that had taken a place on her face.
"Can I just get the rest to go? I'll eat it at home" she asked, dropping the cutlery to take a sip of her water.
"Fine by me" and with that he signalled the waiter.
"Did you not like the restaurant? You looked uncomfortable " He asked as they walked out of the place, take away in hand.
"The place was fine, and so was the food. I just get overly conscious of myself and think everyone is looking at me" she revealed, looking sad.
"Well I'm not letting you go hungry, let's get some ice cream? I'll buy you your favourite" he proposed, leading her to a nearby ice cream shop.
Luckily the line wasn't too long and they quickly stepped in, having dropped their take aways at a table.
Looking over Jaeje again he noticed that she was still shifting from left to right, crossing her arms as if to cover up, still uncomfortable. Had he never noticed that before?
"Are you sure you're okay? Do you want something else?" He found himself asking again.
"I don't know, you decide" she answered, not looking him in the eyes.
Finally getting to the front of the line, he ordered he both of them a medium cup of chocolate ice cream, he noticed her eyeing the extra toppings like chocolate chips and fudge and asked for those to be added as well, not wanting to have her deny the request.
"Are you always so uncomfortable when eating out? How haven't I noticed that before" he questioned as he drove them back to office, sparing her a glance.
"Basically" she replied simply, but Heeseung was looking for a more detailed answer.
"That's not going to cut it" he said.
"Fine, yes I'm uncomfortable when going out to eat, I feel like everyone's looking at me and judging me and saying how big I am" she revealed, looking at the view outside the window.
"I'm not going to say anything until you look at me" he said, though she didn't budge.
"You talk to me, you look at me." He said firmly, making her look at him, tears glazing her eyes.
"You have no reason to feel like that okay? Absolutely no one's looking at you except for me, and all I think looking at you is that you're beautiful, no matter what you're eating or what clothes you're wearing" he comforted, feeling angry she would think like that.
"Thank you" she mumbled out, not completely convinced by the statement.
"You still don't believe me?" He asked as they neared the office, going to park underground.
"Come on" he said, opening her door and leading her to the back seat.
"What are you doing?" She asked, finding her herself engulfed in a hug.
"We're going to stay here and I'm going to keep hugging you until you feel better, because physical touch is always a good remedy" he said, pulling her to his lap and noticing the way she tries to lean of the door.
"Nope We're not having any of that" he said and brought her to his chest, wrapping his arms around her in a bear hug.
Jaeje could hear her heart beating in her chest as she nuzzled her face in his neck, trying to hold back any sobs as she stayed pliant.
"Thanks" she mumbled in his neck, biting him.
"Is that revenge?" He asked laughing.
"Mhm" she hummed.
"Last I checked, you weren't exactly complaining that afternoon " he teased.
"I've already forgotten. " she groaned, burying her face even more.
"Should I remind you then?" He continued, placing a few kisses on her neck.
"This is why we suck at comfort" she said, grasping his hair.
"Are you kidding? You're already feel better, we're great at this" he complimented, kissing up her neck till he reached her lips, grazing them, asking for permission.
"I'll let you believe that" she said and kissed him.
