A little non-con in this chapter, very mild.
Jaeje didn't exactly process the weekend, it was as if it went by in little bits.
She woke up later that evening and remembered going to shower and eat again before falling back into unconsciousness.
She doesn't remember much from Saturday and Sunday and by the time her mind is fully aware of the things around her it's Monday.
She has to go to work, right.
She tells Hyejin she'll take an Uber to work, seeing as she didn't wake up on time like usual.
She walks into the office an hour later and goes to sign in, greeting Nari.
"Hey you, you feeling better to be back at work? You never even came back for your bag, I arranged your stuff though" the receptionist said as she handed Jaeje a pen.
"Never better and thanks for arranging my stuff, I'll probably leave early today though" Jaeje expressed her gratitude, handing Nari back her pen before leaving to go up to her office.
'Knowing him he's probably over it, not like he had any real feelings in the first place' Jaeje thought painfully as she walked towards his office, not knowing how she would come back from their horrible conversation on Thursday, but just like everything other problem in her life, she would ignore it.
To her surprise though he wasn't in the office as she knocked and heard no response, figuring he hasn't arrived yet she went back to her office and started doing whatever work she could find, trying to keep herself distracted.
But as time went on he still didn't show, she kept checking every 10 minutes and not even so much as a footstep aside from hers rung in the hallway.
He wasn't coming, she decided and went away from his office for the last time, dejected.
After doing whatever there was she just sat in her office for the rest of the day, clocking out once it was 3 as nothing else was going to happen for the day.
She spent the rest of the afternoon brooding at home, accepting the fact that this wasn't something Heeseung was going to ignore, she needed to give him a proper apology.
It was nearly 5 o'clock when she received a call from an unknown number.
"Hello" she greeted as the call connected.
"Excuse me, is this a Mrs. Lee?" The voice asked.
"Miss Lee and this is me, why? " she asked, wondering who the person was.
"Umm, this is Polaroid, the club at the center of town, there's a man here in his mid twenties who who needs to be picked up and gave this number, I don't know if it's possible for you to pick him up" the man explained.
"Heeseung" Jaeje murmured and agreed, saying she would be there as soon as possible, and with that she went to get changed.
"He's in the VIP section" the worker who had called pointed to the private area and Jaeje thanked him, the security giving her access once the man explained who she was.
'Maybe I can sober him up enough to apologize' she thinks and continues to walk until she sees a scene that physically makes her heart feel like it's being over flown with blood to the point where it's excruciating.
Heeseung was slumped in a booth, not unconscious but not exactly there either with a girl perched on his lap, kissing him.
Jaeje feels the anger creep up before she can fully process it and doesn't waste any time in shoving the bitch off.
