Jaeje laid in the bed later that night after her usual movie night with Hyejin, revealing a little bit about her usual days with her boss is like.
Hyejin had been surprised when she revealed that Heeseung had not tried anything after their little agreement, and he hadn't, in a way at least.
'Maybe allowing him to do all these minor things is giving him hope? ' she asks herself as she thinks back to the subtle flirting, if that's what they've both chosen to call it, that's happened.
'What am I saying? I'm just humoring the both of us, besides who doesn't enjoy a little attention now and then' she pacified herself and she relaxed back into her bed, her eyes giving out.
'I should make things clear though, just in case' and with that she drifted off.
Heeseung had made sure to get up earlier than usual since he would be picking up Jaeje today, making himself look as good as always.
"How haven't my good looks won her over yet, I fall in love with myself everyday" Heeseung tsked, giving his hair it's final touches.
He pulled up to the front of their apartment building just in time as Jaeje walked out, her steps lazy."Good morning, I'm your chauffeur today, Lee Heeseung" he teased as she gave him an eye roll.
"Ha ha, by the way you wouldn't mind if we stopped by to drop off Hyejin would you?" she asked, leaning down by the side of the car door.
Not the plan for today, not at all, but things haven't been going his way lately so it's nothing new.
"No problem, we'll pass by" he agreed reluctantly and Jaeje gave him a thankful smile before calling Hyejin over to get in.
Jaeje seemed to be too entangled in her phone to realize the uncomfortable silence looming in the air, namely from Heeseung's sudden bad mood, whether it was from Hyejin being in the car or Jaeje not sparring him a single glance was not known.
Hyejin decided the silence was enough, "Soooo, thank you for dropping me off" she started.
"It's no problem, I wouldn't want that boss of yours to deduct your salary" he gave her a smile, silently cursing Jay, if he could drop her off would it kill him to pick her up too.
They kept the small conversation going with Jaeje pitching in from time to time which boosted his mood a bit when she finally put her phone away.
Soon enough they had dropped Hyejin at Jay's office and the car was finally occupied by just the two of them, finally.
"And you say I'm not the better boss, at least I was gentlemen enough to pick you up" Heeseung bragged as Jaeje rolled her eyes.
"He paid to have her car fixed, still tops in my books" she retorted.
"I'll buy you a car" he snaps back.
"Thank you" she smiles and Heeseung did a double take.
"W-wait I didn't mean that" he said, taking back his words.
