"Door's open! " Heeseung heard as he rang the door bell to Jay's house, said man had called earlier in the afternoon for an emergency meeting.
He went on about how to sabotage the date Hyejin had agreed to go on with HongJoong.
Heeseung's mind drifted at some point as he replayed yesterday's conversation with his dad.
Thinking about it be decided the best thing for him would be to leave, seeing as nothing seemed to improve in that dusty old house and it just being a constant reminder of all the shit he had ever gone through.
He was brought out of his thoughts soon enough and felt a surge on annoyance pass over him. Jay was lucky to find someone he clearly liked and who liked him, trying to put his mouth where he shouldn't would just mess that up.
After giving his heartfelt advice he received concerned glances from his friends, making him excuse himself to get some alcohol, not bothering to use a glass.
Later on they were eating at the dining table, having concluded the Hyejin matter.
"Not to be nosy, but Heeseung hyung, have you finally reformed? " Ni-Ki asked as they ate.
"Meaning?" Heeseung replied back.
"Well it's just that you haven't been with anyone in awhile so I was wondering if maybe, you know... " the youngest drifted off, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Mm, don't you know our darling Hyung has been caught up with his secretary, she's keeping him on his toes" Jake teased.
"Oh so you actually like her? Well that's good, at least half the female population in this city will know peace" Sunoo said, feeling happy for his Hyung.
"You guys are saying nonsense, I do not like her, it's not like you guys have never seen me spend so much time on one girl" Heeseung replied, rolling his eyes.
"You read a book because you were jealous that she liked the male lead" Jay said, looking suspicious.
"Yeah I mean if you r really have feelings then that isn't such a-" Jungwon started but was cut off with a loud bang on the table.
"Haven't I made it clear that I don't like her already, jeez I'll go clear it up for you! " he exclaimed, pushing away his food as he stood up.
"Hyung wait! " Sunghoon called out as he made his way out of the house, driving off into the streets.
"Oh you're gracing me with your pre-" Chan-mi (kudos if you remember her) was cut off as Heeseung lunged forward, not wasting anytime to lock her lips in a kiss.
"It's been awhile" she muttered as she let him carry her up, wrapping her legs around his waist.
"Mhm" he made no effort to say anymore as he laid them both on her couch.
"Don't I deserve to know why you suddenly remembered me? " she asked as he unbuttoned her shirt.
"Since when did you ask so many questions? " he asked.
"Hm true, I'll have to ask later" she agreed and brought him back for a kiss.
He willed himself to push all other thoughts aside, but that plan quickly went out the window as Chan-mi's hand found its way to his hair, his mind immediately fogging up with the only person who had been doing that lately.
Suddenly it's wasn't Chan-mi kissing him back, it wasn't her leading him to her bedroom, wasn't her straddling him as she kissed down his torso, and most definitely wasn't her when the clothes finally came off.
Heeseung didn't waste anytime to leave and run over to Jaeje's place, feeling like every part of his body was covered in dirt.
Being the ever loving person that she was took him out for ice cream to cheer him up, despite the fact he hard just confessed to sleeping with someone else.
'What does it matter, we're not together anyways' she told herself as she lead him to his car, ignoring the stab at her chest.
Maybe it was the fact that this wasn't part of their stupid agreement, that it was just the two of them hanging out like they had always been this comfortable with each other, maybe it was the fact the air had changed around them after the innocent kiss Heeseung had given her, which she wished was genuine.
"How about this place? " Jaeje questioned the next day as they both sat on the couch in Heeseung's office to find him a new place.
"I want somewhere with an amazing view of the city" Heeseung rejected.
"You're probably gonna get somewhere in the busiest parts of the city, hold on a sec" she said, closing the sight.
"You're also going to need somewhere with an extra room, lucky you you're rich" Jaeje said, typing away at the laptop.
"Why? It's not like you'll be sleeping there" he asked.
"Why would I sleep there? " she questioned.
"Exactly, I don't want anyone to stay with me, and you'd be in my room anyways" he pouted, crossing his arms.
"Keep dreaming" she scoffed.
"You're talking like you're not currently sitting on my lap! " he exclaimed.
"So? Not like you're complaining, now how about here? " she asked as he put his head on her shoulder to get a look.
"Better, but not perfect" he replied.
"Fine, find somewhere yourself, this is what I get for the trying to help" she pouted, pushing away the laptop to get up when she was shoved back down and received a quick kiss.
"Sexual harassment" she accused.
"I'll go to jail happily" he retorted smiling, letting her get up.
"Whatever" she said and walked to his desk.
"Also your 1pm meeting got cancelled, so you're getting lunch after all, what do you want? " she asked.
"You" he replied.
"Bitch"
"Let's have lunch together, my treat" he proposed.
"Free food, I won't complain" she agreed and walked out.
"Where do you wanna go?! " he shouted.
"You decide on the place, food is food for me"
