Ayato's POV
Looking at the situation, I had an inkling feeling of what was going on but I still had a bit of hope. This last bit of hope, however, was soon crushed by Thoma.
"Don't tell me you were serious when you told me you stole her wine?"
On dear archons! Just kill me now!
"Why would I joke about something like that? It's not like I haven't done this before." He just shrugged his shoulders.
He has done it before?!
"How are you still alive? Am I speaking to a ghost right now?"
Thoma couldn't help himself and pinched Venti, earning another death glare from Xiao, though, he still didn't seem to notice.
"Nothing much happened. We fought it out, we calmed down, and then had a talk. Don't you ever have an argument?"
That's not the point!
If my pride would have allowed it, I would have already strangled him half to death.
Peace only just returned not long ago. Did you have to go and steal from her right now?!
"You should go talk to her." Dvalin finally spoke.
Great idea! Just do it somewhere else. I would like to keep my house in one piece, thank you.
"Fine, fine."
"No violence."
"Am I that untrustworthy?"
There was a short silence before the answer came.
"I think I should go as well."
Ah! Goodbye Kamisato estate! it seems you were doomed to fall today.
"I'll go too! She would need someone to restrain her as well."
Lady Yae, did you have to add that last sentence?
"Thoma."
"Yes my lord?"
Now there's only one thing I can do.
"Please evacuate the estate."
"As you wish, my- Excuse me?" He looked at me, completely stunned.
"Tell everyone that they have the rest of the day off and get them to leave."
This should be the best course of action.
Thoma seemed to finally understand where I was going. He swiftly left the room and not long after, happy exclamations were heard from all around.
"That's probably a good move, Ayato."
"Lady Yae..."
Please, just...shut up.
"I'll go ahead! Xiao, could you...maybe...stay a little farther away when we meet her?"
Venti's concerned rumbling really didn't help.
"Will you be okay?"
"Just who do you think I am? Of course, I'll be okay!"
You're a bard. How does that help?
"If you say so."
How can you be reassured by that?
"You two...stop talking. You're going to drive our dear commissioner crazy."
They have already done that, Lady Yae.
"Cough! We should go." I coughed, trying to mask the mess that was inside my head.
